Unfortunately...it doesn't take long to realize the quality of materials is lacking. While all the pieces were accounted for and all fit together, the connection is weak.. pieces not clicking and locking together as securely as they should.traditionally the more it comes together the more structural and secure the overall build becomes.. With these kits its the opposite.. pieces falling off as you attach others...and the finished piece feeling like it's barely keeping itself together. Unfortunate.

My son is big into brick building. He got this to give his dad (who was an art major) for Christmas. We searched for the brand name sets when we were shopping. I was shocked when this arrived to realize it wasn’t the name brand. We decided to give it to him anyway. The instructions weren’t as clear as the name brand, and the pieces were much harder to separate if we made a mistake. Overall, it’s a neat little set, but I’m still recovering from feeling like I was duped.

I've given Lego kits to my children every year for Christmas. They are now 22 and 26! How fun to find these art portraits - perfect to have at their desks.

I like this item. Family says the hair should be a bit more red, but I think it works just fine. Van Gogh painted many self portraits, I have this item placed right in front of an inexpensive canvas reproduction of one of them and its great!
