Search for the perfect orthotic for my particular foot may be over
As an ex-runner with Plantar Fascitis, extra-wide feet, and severe pronation, finding a good orthotic for hiking, golf, yard shoes, etc has been a constant search for 2 decades (use bike shoe inserts for cycling). I've even had custom orthotics (total failure). Used one perfect product for over ten years until the manufacturer changed it in the '90s. I am sure I have purchased 20 different types and styles from 8 or more manufacturers, none of which worked as well as these. Finding just the right combination of arch support, anti-pronation design, light weight, and comfort had been impossible until now. I had found some "good enough, not great" orthotics, some of them here on Amazon. Usually purchased an 11-11.5 so that arch would be far enough forward. These popped up as a "suggestion" on my Amazon page based on past purchases. NOTE: The other Power Step products may be good for other individuals, but only these Power Step Pinnacle Max's appeared to have the profile I need, based on over 20 years of experience and experimentation. If I still ran, I would not expect these to hold up as running shoe inserts at my 185-190 weight. The pictures on Amazon appeared to show the necessary heel height and arch support. Thought I had ordered 11-11.5s, (probably my mistake) and received 10-10.5s. Turned out these are perfect. Did not even need trimming to fit in my EE New Balance golf shoes (look like NB running shoes). Walked 9 holes day before they arrived on "good enough" orthotics and my feet burned and were sore, and my ex-runner's knees ached. Played a round with these in the same shoes yesterday and my feet were comfortable the entire time and knees were fine. No burning sensation on the soles, no sore arch afterwards. The heel cup is elevated enough and designed well enough to deal with pronation issue, and the arch support was perfect, because I did not notice it. I can't say anything about longevity or use for my other activities yet, but will buy at least one more pair to put in yard boots, hiking boots, sneakers, traditional golf shoes, etc. Will update once I have sufficient "mileage" with this product with various activities. If they last a decent amount of time, I'll end up with this model in most of my shoes.

Excellent option for high arches and plantar fascitis
I have high arches and recently came down with a bad case of plantar fascitis. I walk about 5 miles a day and this ailment was cutting me down to very little walking at all. In addition to doing all the exercises recommended by my podiatrist, I tried out a number of different shoe insoles, including these. I found these to be excellent for cushioning and I can walk in these for miles in relative comfort. The only criticism I would make is that the arch portion is not truly a smooth arch, but has discernible ridges at transition points which make it slightly less comfortable than my top rated insert - the Sof Sole Arch Full Length Comfort High Arch Shoe Insole. Still this is an excellent insole that I will be using on a regular basis.

Plantar fasciitis relief
I cannot recommend these PowerStep pinnacle maxx shoe inserts enough! they are excellent at providing plantar fasciitis relief and work great for people who overpronate. The arch support is pretty high and stays firm for a really long time. because of the arches being so high, you just need to make sure that the shoes your planning to wear them with will accommodate orthotic inserts. They will not fit in any shoe. The fit is true to size and can easily be trimmed a little if you need to.

;TLDR great orthotics for really flat feet! And Cheap!!!
Finally a solution for my shin splints and achey knees. I started back at the gym a little over a year ago, with a fresh pair of running shoes. I had gained 25 pounds over the previous year and knew it was time to get back into shape. I tried getting right back into my old routine and that proved a big mistake. I irritated my left MCL and was out for about a month. Then tried again, but this time I got hit with shin splints. Which kept coming back after taking week after week off trying to work through them(bad idea) I was told to try KT tape which was a temporary fix and did not work for me in the end. I finally started looking at Orthotics and stupidly bought a $50 pair of Dr. Scholls so called custom fit orthotics. Which after about 3 months crapped out and again I was stuck with shin splints. Finally found power steps, and boom haven't had shin splints since. More recently I have been having pain in my knee at work, I wear combat boots and threw in some Dr. Scholls actives(before the pain) which said they were good for flat feet, and I didn't think I would need a higher quality pair of orthotics for my work boots since I didn't do much activity in them. But I was proven wrong once again, when my knee pain came around when my job at work got a little more active I started getting left knee pain again and after some procrastination about doing something about it, I finally switched my power steps into my work boot and haven't had knee pain since. I didn't know it would be so easy as buying better insoles and not even high priced, cheaper than Dr. Ripoffs. Will buy again for the rest of my active life!
