Metal plate
This is a stainless single gang plate - if you are ordering you likely know exactly what this is and why you need it and are lazy like me and don't feel like going to Lowe's/Home Depot and sorting through all those bins with mixed up inventory that never show accurate stock online. It's stainless with stainless screws and covers a single gang outlet typically outdoors. Really great product - you'll install it and look at it every few months/years and appreciate the simplicity of life.

Is as described. IF YOU'RE WONDERING WHY IT'S 'BLUE' THEN READ THIS!
This blank switch plate finished off my kitchen, where I needed a blank plate to cover a wire access point beneath some cabinetry to service the under-cabinet lighting. It arrived in a timely fashion and in good condition.NOTE: Some stainless steel products (appliances, etc.) come with a protective teflon film over them. In the case of this switch cover - YOUR COVER IS NOT BLUE, I REPEAT - NOT. BLUE. Just peel the protective film off. Simple as that. I feel badly for those who were unnecessarily angered, and in turn unnecessarily angry at Amazon/seller, for not realizing something that I thought was...well, elementary, my dear Watsons (okay, really bad dad joke there...probably because I'm not a dad, and really tired), and went through the return process only to buy the exact same thing. Goodnight.

Great solution to hide an outside box.
It would have been nice to include a gasket to help seal the box from the elements

Nice heavy gauge stainless to match the kitchen appliances. Using it to cover an old 2-line twisted pair POTS connection. Does it’s job admirably, without fanfare.
