Worked for 2005 Subaru Outback LL Bean
Worked for my 2005 Subaru Outback, LL Bean. Programming is a bit of a doozy, but I managed it in about 15 minutes. I recommend referencing multiple tutorials on the matter. The fob (or perhaps it's the receiver?) seems to be very directional - Requires clear line of sight and does not work reliably if too close to, in front of, or behind the car. I often have to press the button two or three times to get it to respond when I'm within 6 feet or so, but it does work.

Correct part on the first try and install in under 60 seconds.
Overall very happy with this item, would order this item from keyless option again before trying others.I wish I had ordered this first and installed myself before waiting on the Subaru dealership to unsuccessfully order and install new fobs. The Good:-The part look up resulted in the correct part number for my 2006 Subaru Forester (two button remote).-The install took under 60 seconds.-Item seems to have better rubber contact to seal out moisture-Same size, shape, and appearance as the original fob that came with the car (though slightly less "glossy" finish (if that matters)The not as impressive;_The included instructions are not a paper copy, it is a card with a web address. They link works and is easy to use, but this does add an extra step that requires an internet connection if you do not have the process memorized.-The range may be a little less than the original fobs, I have not tested this specifically but it does seem to take more than one try to use if I have already walked a distance away from my car (not a problem, just a difference, might be due to having more rubber to seal out moisture so I am Good with this)It is normally worth it to me to stick with genuine parts and pay a professional to install them so I can focus on things I am good at and let someone else deal with it since I am not trained on car repair at all. That has gradually worked out well for me less and less with replacement key fobs being a perfect example. The local dealership ordered new fobs based on my VIN, the parts came in and I dropped the car off, they called to say they were having issues programing the car to the new Genuine Subaru fobs and asked for more time, several calls and 19 days later they told me I needed a new remote unlock module because mine was bad, this would have been $300 quoted by them (plus the over priced OEM key fobs and labor). Having become very skeptical over the past two weeks I decided to return everything take my car and leave.I saw the fobs they ordered for the first time when I was making the parts return, they fobs were not the correct part number, visibly different, and not compatable with my car (based on the Subaru parts website). Mistakes happen, and I feel bad for how frustrating it must have been for the tech that was trying to figure out the problem, but 19 days in the hands of brand certified trained professionals, no-one verified the part number had been selected correctly during the troubleshooting process, and the suggestion that it was to order a $300+ part even though it was tested to be completely functional, was too many red flags for me. When I ordered this item the options and compatibility were obvious, the correct parts arrived the first time for a fraction of the cost, and I was able to program the car to the new fob in under 60 seconds, all three in under 2 minutes. I should have started by ordering this item.

It was so easy!
I programmed them in 5 minutes. My husband was watching me and said that’s not going to work. Then I locked and unlocked my car! I’m so happy:)

great fob, but sadly it lacks some functionality.
I am not sure if my original key had Immobilizer or something, but when I tried to use this new fob to go into or out of valet mode, or to change the sound indicator for the arming/disarming, it simply doesn't work.. I tried everything, erasing all previous programmed transmitters, programming this new one 4 times to take up all the memory slots of the SU, and I looked on several messaage boards for the answer to how to get this out of valet mode and to change the notification. It doesn't work.. I switched out the batteries to my original fob, and reprogrammed both so that they worked (i had to quickly swap the batteries to get both), and valet mode was instantly off trying on the original. (for those who may not know, valet mode disables any alarm system, but it allows you to lock and unlock the doors with the transmitters. to get it into and out of valet mode, on a 2005 subaru forester, with the car off and the key out of the ignition, you open the driver door and then hold down the unlock button on the transmitter for about 3 seconds. there should be a security light that starts blinking twice two times every second. original worked.. I am tempted to keep this just because now i can have two fobs, in case I lose the original, but what is the point of having two if the second one doesn't function completely. I am a little disappointed, but I may keep it in the end. it is basically a wasted 35 bucks. I just needed to replace the cr2025 battery x'D

Works and is way less expensive than the dealer!
My keyless remote for my 2008 Subaru Forester stopped unlocking. I tried cleaning the fob and changed the battery. That didn’t work. Thinking it could be the unlock button, I ordered a shell case. That didn’t work, so I finally ordered this fob. So glad I did! It my son and I about 20 minutes to program it in. It took about 6 attempts. Well worth the price of the fob and the time it took to program. A couple tips: The instructions that came with the fob were identical to the instructions in my vehicle’s manual. You cannot have the windows open while programming. (In our defense, it was hot outside) Listen closely for the beeps that tell you that you have completed the steps correctly so you don’t complete all the steps and then have to start over again. Do exactly what the instructions say to do no matter how unimportant (stupid) it sounds.

Don't waste your money
didn't even last 2 months before the open door button stuck, when I opened the fob all the contacts that were soldered in place fell out, requested a replacement but was told they only guarantee for 30 days
