Good product. Works well with small pistons as well.

Easiest ring compressor
I have several ring compressor, some quite old but this one worked excellent. Holds the piston firmly and very easy to adjust to get the correct compression and alignment.

Worked like a charm
I just had a little predator clone i was teplacing the piston in.. i actually seated that hoe first try.. i will say it is a bit outa round but tighten that bolt up and it should do the trick!

This is a great tool for squeezing the rings.
This is a proven tool for piston rings insertion. Keep it oiled, and it will last a lifetime!

Best affordable piston Compression Tool !!!
I used this compression tool & I had my doubts but once I tested it with a old piston & old rings I came to learn that you will need plenty of lubricant in the cylinder bore & Piston Rings it will make your life so much easier & Ensure all the all the rings are compressed probably before install. :)

Worked perfectly
I bought this for my first time replacing piston rings in a vehicle. The tightening mechanism is stout, and the thumb tab loosens the band with just a push (make sure your hands are around the band when doing this, otherwise the spring tension of the band makes it quickly snap open too loose). At first, I thought the allen wrench supplied to tighten the band could have been a better design, as it makes it too hard to tighten the band after a certain point. After installing my four 3.150" pistons, I realized that this prevented me from making the band TOO tight. As it was, the band was tightened the perfect amount, compressing the rings just enough while still allowing the oiled piston to be easily tapped into the bore. No problems with the band itself being tapped into the bore along with the piston. Judging from the construction quality of this tool, it will last me a lifetime even if I start replacing piston rings on a regular basis (which hopefully, I won't).

Honestly this thing was real good for the price
This dinky little thing doesnโt look like it would be too good at itโs job, but surprisingly it worked amazing, very simply, only complaint I have is that when loosening itโs all or nothing and scared the crap outa me the first time I loosened it, but it worked great and thatโs all that matters

Poor Quality
I tried using this ring compressor on a Ford FE 390 engine without success. This ring compressor is too light duty for automotive use. The spring steel that is supposed to compress the piston rings is so thin that it bows out without fully compressing the rings thus making it impossible to drive the piston into the bore without the rings catching the head surface. I ended up buying a ring compressor from NAPA that worked perfectly.

Works great for price
Works great. I had no issues at all. Did six cylinders with ease on a z31 vg30et engine. Remember to chamfer the edge of the cylinder so the rings donโt catch the cylinder edge. 5 stars . Came quick and cheap worked great. Not sure if itโs every day engine builder grade but for the casual user I see it lasting. Only time will tell. Recommended for sure.

Not for professional use. Good enough in a pinch.
The ring compressor is not high quality and leaves a gap when installing pistons, causing some frustration during installation. If you are looking for a professional tool, this isn't it. If it's for a quick and dirty weekend job, this will do.

No issues
Took a bit of time to figure out how to use correctly to get the pistons to slide nicely into the cylinders but I figured it out. Pretty happy with this and recommend. It's pretty rugged but I can also see if I crank too hard on the tightener it could bust but then I figured out I don't need too.
