Few functional issues, but gets the job done
These are great esthetically, the only issues were some plastic little tabs that we had to cut off to get these to fit 100%. So if you have a 2008 jeep wrangler be prepared to either drill holes to make it fit or cut the plastic tabs off. Also, the latch springs are a bit strong so it’s a little difficult to close the hood if there’s only one person. The latches tend to lean too far inward towards the engine so when the hood is lowered the little latch gets squished by the hood. U have to have long arms or have a second person hold the latch outward until the hood is closed. Other than that, it’s 100% functional, the hood secures great and it looks great.

They rust and get stuck
Had for 6 weeks. The pins, springs, ets of the internal workings are completely rusted. A rusty spring won’t last long and neither will these. Also you cannot latch well. They fold in as you are trying to close hood. Look nice and that’s it. I want my money back but I am too late now…

Quirky
They hold the hood down good, but you have to hold them both out of the way at the same time you lower the hood which can be tricky with just one person.

Poor quality and design
So many complaints on these latches. The latches have springs that cause them to close under the hood. Manipulating them open while holding the hood at the right position is cumbersome. To remedy this I cut the springs to keep them open and away from the hood. The tabs on the back of the lower latches do not line up with the fender holes, I solved this by trimming them off. The nuts used to secure the latches came with a washers and not flanged nuts. Replacing a hood latch on a JK requires some finesse and a swivel socket. Using a washer in addition to the lock nut makes it that much more challenging. Why not supply flanged locknuts? The two bolts on the hood portion of the latch are unnecessarily too long. Why not keep them the same length as the stock latches? Overall these lack quality engineering. Would have rated these a 1 star however they do lock the hood down tight. I would have put the stock latches back on but they were cracking so I had no choice but to proceed. If you need new hood latches for your JK I would look at other products!

Not well designed.
You must be handy to make these work. These have spring-loaded latch that you need to hold open to open and close the hood. Try holding each side open and closing the hood. You only have two hands. The alignment tabs do not fit a 08 Wrangler you need to grind or file them off to set flush on the fender. The original latches on the fender attached with a single serrated lock nut that fit firmly in the socket. This allowed the nut to stay in the socket while maneuvering it into place when reinstalling. These folks thought it a great idea to use a flat washer and standard lock nut. Now you have to finagle a washer in place and a locknut (which slides up into the deep well socket you have to use) I reused my old hardware. I would have returned them, but I was going on a 200-mile trip and didn't want to watch the hood flutter for miles anymore.
