Slightly more $ but use WAY LESS: WORTH EVERY PENNY
This is the best cat litter on the market, and I have tried a lot of them. Between myself and my neighbor with cats, I have experienced many brands of litter. And for the money, Boxie is hands down the winner. You can save the entire box change to maybe one time a month, it is that great. Clumps great, no odor and NO DUST! My cat live sit because his area is always fresh and ready for him and my cat closet isn’t dusted and smelly. I recommend this to everyone I know with cats. even when you do change the whole box out it is far easier because there’s no tracking or muddy areas to scrub. The clumping is second to none.

Worth it for us! Win!
I really think we have a winner with this one! I was using Dr. Elsey's for nearly a year but it seemed like it wasn't doing the job as it had in the beginning for me. Excuse me--for US. Kitty is a big boy with a big bladder and large sized poops. We have an XL box and even keeping that filled enough is hard with all the scooping needed. Since these litters are expensive--I want us BOTH to love the litter. Dr. Elsey's was breaking apart on the urine clumps and I couldn't scoop out the little bits. I was so frustrated with the stinky aroma all the time. I don't want all those un-scoopable bits hanging around in the box any more than kitty does. The litter wasn't doing a good job of drying the poo or covering the smells... I know Unscented is the safest for their kidneys--so I started looking for options. After about two hours of review reading on Amazon, I ordered Boxiecat. Right away kitty was into it and he'd spend a while checking it out. I mixed the old brand with this for a month but it was clear that kitty wanted this Boxiecat. He actually gets crazy into it and I practically have to lock the supply away from him. What I like best is the litter's clumping. It really does what that demo said: the urine will form a sort of ball shape with a flat top--IF you keep a high level of this litter in the box. When you have a giant cat peeing out a lot--you need a thick layer to hold all that fluid so it doesn't puddle at the box bottom. If the fool pees in that corner or up against the edge then you have to deal with some sludge on occasion. This litter is great at absorption though for my money and the poops that he actually covers do get dessicated. That means less stinky poo events. With Dr. Elsey's, he'd drive me out of the room with a stinker. Trust me, I appreciate being able to roll over and go to sleep and not have to get out of bed, throw open a window and leave the room until I could tolerate breathing in there, long enough to scoop--and then return to bed. Another bonus is the grains are a good size and he doesn't seem to get the litter stuck to his paws that often anymore. If your kitty has tufted paws--you know how hard that is. And fluffy paws means throwing litter around-- and when it does get outside the box--it's not usually as much as the old brand. It's slightly lighter weight for the equivalent also.I dunno if anyone else has this issue with this brand...Sometimes he gets the bucket that I store the litter in, moved a few feet away--trying like mad to get the bucket open and to get at the litter. He's big and very strong so even stacking heavy stuff on top of the bucket doesn't deter the efforts. You'd think it was a bucket of cat treats the way he goes after this litter. He's so happy! Totally worth it for that kinda kitty approval. He's 2 now and he's never liked any the others this much.

good product if not for bad packaging
(note: I am comparing it to fresh step and tidy cat which is what I have previously used. I am also using a top entry box, rather than one that has an opening on the side, if that effects anything)Pros- Better at absorbing liquid waste and the clumps do not break apart easily making it a bit easier to scoop.- Does not stuck to the cats paws as much compared to other brands. Of course he still tracks some litter around but I don't believe there is any clay based product out there that eliminate the problem.Odor control and litter fragrance:The kind that I bought doesn't really have any particular fragrance to it, which doesn't really matter to me, all I ask of the litter I buy is that the area around the box doesn't stink. I can't speak for how it performs without a cover on top of the box, but the area around the box doesn't smell bad even if it's been two or more days. When you are getting up in there and cleaning up...well...it's still gonna stink just a bit up close. I can tell it does not stink as badly and it is absorbing the worse of it (assuming the cat does a competent job buring its poo), but there's not any strong fragrance to mask what you do smell.Cons:- The packaging. My god. The packaging is incredibly flimsy. If you are lucky enough to not have any leaks to begin with, I guarantee you will by the second time you top off the box. It's designed to just barely withstand the burden it has to carry and any amount of stress can cause a leak. Have duct tape handy. To open it you tear the corner at the top of the bag, which the packaging specifies you are supposed to fold and reseal using the sticker on the packaging. The sticker doesn't do a great job of this and will most likely stop sticking when you use it the second time. But that's the least of your problems. After the first use it becomes nearly impossible to move the package or pour into the box without it spilling. It gets everywhere. I have to vacuum almost every time. The opening gets wider from the stress of moving the package to the box and then carrying it back. It gets to the point you have to store the package inside of a trashbag so it doesn't spill all over the floor. It's really that bad, holy crap.Just put it in a tub, or a sturdy box, please I beg. I should not have to buy another product to store yours because you couldn't be bothered to come up with something better. Maybe you are trying to be eco friendly, but having packaging that is functional is not optional for messy stuff.Verdict:- Other than the packaging fiasco, while it cost a little more, you are getting the overall better quality that you pay for. So if you aren't content with what you are using, and you don't mind spending a bit more on litter, you might like it. But if what you are using works fine for you and your cat, then there isn't really any reason to pay the extra money. It kind of depends on your priorities.- If you already keep your litter in a storage container of some sort, then it will be mostly a non issue, but if you don't I would advise you to come up with a place to keep it or otherwise learn the hard way. The only reason I put up with it is that I don't want to go back to what I used before, because it is decent stuff.

best cat litter ever periodddd
Why did you pick this product vs others?:this is the best cat litter. I have bought it four times. it controls the smell and clumps well. I am always told that people can't tell cats live there. it doesn't track too much either. Works well:you can't smell that the cats are doing their business there. Dust level:I don't get any dust inhalation when cleaning my litter box.
