Nice And Neat
I never really thought much about, or of, soundbar. Television sound has always been a bit of an after thought for TV manufacturers. Flat screen TVs have in my view made this worse with speakers at the back. Visiting a friend, I heard what a difference a soundbar made. This particular one is from a company know for good quality sound products. Yes, they are pricy. This one however is not too bad. I cannot honestly tell you how good, or bad the sound is, as I have hearing loss and wear hearing aids. What I can tell you is that having the sound coming forward at me is far better than the sound from the rear speakers of my Panasonic TV.It is compact. It sits nicely and neatly at the bottom of my 43 inch screen. Setting it up was a doddle even if the instructions were not as clear as I think they could have been. The remote is small but has 8 buttons. My only dislike is they are recessed and the same colour as the remote so someone with poor eyesight may struggle.Bluetooth pairing is simple and quick. Connection is almost instant and is fairly robust. As I said, I can't judge the sound but I can certainly tell the difference between dialogue mode, for listening to speech, and bass, which is better for music. The instructions fail to explain clearly, in my view, how to increase the bass.In conclusion, not a bad unit. Simple and easy to use. Comfortable sound.

Brings out spoken tv spoken dialogue clearly
Purchased this to use as tv speaker. We have found over last few years that background music on a lot of films and shows is louder than the actors speech making difficult to hear the voices. This is due to the compression utilised for sound on films etc. There is very limited changes that is possible on smart TVs to combat this.We have found that once soundbar is connected and when pressing the dialogue button on the soundbar remote this feature makes the dialogue much clearer. Our tv is not wall mounted but on tv unit. The soundbar comes with a wall mounting but we did not want to utilise this. When the soundbar was placed on unitIn front of tv found that it was in front of tv remote infra red connection. Fixed this problem by placing two 1” block to tv legs to raise the tv.This is the main feature that we purchased the soundbar for. This is a quality piece of equipment as an all round unit. Easy set up, music sound great, Bluetooth connectivity very good and clarity using the dialogue button is excellent.Only real downside it is only possible to marry to another tv remote for off/on and volume control. However not found this an issue.

Mostly excellent... but there is a "but"....
I originally bought my parents one of these for Christmas, as I was fed up with them moaning about their LG soundbar. The LG was actually a nice bit of kit, but they constantly whinged about not being able to hear the dialogue and how "we have to keep turning it up or turning it down, it never seems to stay on the same volume". The dialogue-specific mode of the Bose seemed like just what they needed. When the thing arrived and I set it up on Christmas day I was struck by the sound quality on music, and how clear the dialogue was. I decided to buy one for myself a few weeks later only to find they were out of stock.Fast forward a few months and they have come back into stock, and I snapped one up. Installed in my setup (which is rather more grandiose than my folks', based around a projector rather than a TV) I immediately saw an improvement over my existing soundbar. Again, sound effects and music are crisp, a decent amount of bass on music and you can hear every word of dialogue without it getting drowned out by other audio. Excellent for TV and films. So why only four stars instead of five? The stereo separation is literally non-existent, and it borders on being a mono speaker. The Bose is a very compact soundbar, which is part of its appeal, but the two speakers are mounted literally next to each other at the centre of the unit. This is not the end of the world in 90% of cases, particularly when watching TV, but in big budget big action scenes the excellent sound does feel a bit "narrow". However, not having to play silly buggers with the volume control is worth its weight in gold and the actual quality of the audio is nothing short of excellent for such a small, neat bit of kit.Recommended, with that one caveat.

Brilliant sound and build for the price.
I got it on Black Friday, so price was good; I needed something compact with Bluetooth for my occasional projector usage, but not extravagantly powerful as I live in an apartment :)It connects extremely easy with my iPhone and Mac. The sound is amazing for the price, the control works just fine and Bluetooth connectivity is very stable. I use it for music as well, no complains.Options such as ‘Dialogue Mode’ does make a difference if you want more speech clarity and the bass options are quite nice for its size.Only downside is that the soundbar has no buttons, so make sure you don’t loose its remote!

Fantastic sound bar.
The sound on my telly was tinny, way too sharp and rubbish. Not good on any audio setting. Bought this Bose solo bar and boy did it do the job or what! It’s a joy to listen to now. I keep the bass low on audio, then wack it up a bit for action films. It’s just like being at the cinema. Brilliant. Very pleased with it and deffo recommend!

Enjoyed the improved sound quality
Pleased with the purchase and connectivity to listen to music from the mobile. Some downsides though, at least on my LG TV. The volume buttons on the TV remote are greyed out now so the only way to alter TV volume is by the horrible little remote that came with the sound bar. The sound bar remote is very small and feels cheap. Don't like the recessed buttons on it either. Because I'm not using the TV remote to change volume any longer the TV is prone to switching off to save power.I'd still buy this because I like the improved clarity it offers over the TV speakers but there are some niggles.
