What a fun and easy way to get dramatic lighting!
I have been extremely impressed with this little gadget. It is very easy to mount on any Bowens light, and the ability to adjust the beam has been so much fun to play with on portrait sessions. I love the drama of this focused light. 100% recommended.

Light spill, balky design, loose mount
I returned this (and the light) as it despite the low price it's not good enough for me for serious production work. The lens does not focus well - you cannot get crisp edges to your spot, not even close. And there is quite a bit of spill around it. There are some nice gels included and price is very low for those to be included, but the changing procedure is not simple or secure.

Good specialty modifier
Works well with the Jinbei EF-150. Helps control light spill. Appreciate the additional gels, although I do wish there was a way to stack the gels but the magnets aren't strong enough to hold more than one gel at a time.Fit & Finish:Feels sturdy enough but not overly so. The front element slider works OK for now but feels like over time with extensive use, it may begin to loosen up. It's made of hard plastic and does not offer a lot of confidence that if it is ever dropped will survive the impact. Time will tell. I will note that the front element on the snoot that I received was missing one screw. Doesn't seem to affect the performance but should be noted and speaks to the quality control standards.Function:Does the job of narrowing the beam of light to a much smaller spread and helps with light spill significantly. I do wonder if the snoot provides enough ventilation to keep everything cool over time. So far so good. My tests yield the following results using the EF-150:Bare bulb: 8.0With Jinbei reflector: 11.4Snoot at widest: 11.8Snoot at narrowest: 22.0Overall a modifier like this, for me, is a specialty modifier that won't get used all the time so it should last for a while. For those of you who might be using it regularly where you need to adjust it often, I don't know that it would last long but I have nothing besides my impressions to back that claim up. As far as modifying the light, it does what I had hoped it would and doesn't knock the light output done at all.
