Excellent Wallet, Just a tad big
I purchased this wallet instead of a typical style wallet because I like having my stuff secure which a regular wallet typically just is not. I also like the fact this is made out of a more durable material that I expect will last me many years. The zippered pouch inside of the billfold area comes in handy for storing cash or other items you want to keep especially secure. The shark bite closure design is very simple and seems to be very effective. One thing to keep in mind is that this is a large wallet to carry around with typical clothes. If you are in the armed services it easily fits in to BDU pockets, but regular jeans or shorts will accomodate this but not with much more room. It is also a little akward to open if you are used to a regular style wallet just because of the design and the size. I do like that it has two clear pockets for ID and makes it easy to show ID without opening the wallet. I cannot imagine needing the full size version of this as an EDC wallet for a civilian.Made in the USA!!!Overall very happy with it even if it is a bit on the large size for everyday use. I would rather have a larger size and have this durability and security than a typical mens folding wallet. Will buy again when it wears out. Which might be a while. I just wish it came in OD green. The front plastic window had some black smudges inside of it from something when I bought it. No big deal though. I do kind of wish the logo inside was smaller.** 07/12/2013 update **I have to update this review and raise it to 5 stars. After I have grown accustomed to the larger size of this wallet compared to the one I used to have, and also accustomed to the way it opens I have really fallen in love with this design. It has been very secure and very well thought out. I love the zippered cash compartment that is virtually a secret to the unfamiliar and I love the shark bite closure.I just hope I can buy another one when this wears out... a long time from now.

Bought my first one in Uzbekistan in 2002
I bought my first T.H.E. Wallet when I was deployed in Uzbekistan with the Air Force in 2002. It gave up the ghost about 2012. After going through a number of "civilian" wallets that would last maybe a couple of months, I finally bought another one of these. The wallet is extremely tough, holds two forms of IDs in clear compartments, and has plenty of slots for credit cars and so on. It also has a zipper pocket for change, which is a major thing missing from men's wallets. The two ID compartments are great if you are military or retired military and need to show your ID to get on installations. That also can come in handy if you have to use an alternate ID in your work (like a corporate ID). There are two grommeted holes that you can run a chain through so it can be worn around your neck. That was helpful in some deployed locations where we were required to display our ID's. However, the wallet is a bit heavy and cumbersome to use that over a long period of time.Because the wallet is tough canvas, it doesn't break down from getting sweated on, or wet. It will last a VERY long time. The only drawback is it is a bit large, but it still fits in my pants pocket.

Couldn't be happier (with a wallet, that is)!
Like most guys I believe, I'm not one for changing wallets very often. When my well-worn leather trifold finally reached the point of no return, I dug out those two new leather wallets I had lying around, that I'd previously received as gifts. After trying to literally force all of my cards, IDs, pictures, an other paraphernalia into each of those standard-sized wallets, I had to admit that I needed to either carry less, or get something bigger. I went for the bigger. After some online research, including reviews about the longevity of the Spec-Ops wallets, I decided that leather was just an old habit, and that Cordura fabric and nylon made much more sense for my needs. I was immediately impressed with the overall quality and apparent sturdiness of this product. The first thing I liked was that both my driver's license and (retired) military ID could easily slide in and out behind the 2 non-glare windows. There are plenty of slots for all of my numerous credit-sized cards, and well as additional zippered compartments for yet more cards, spare change, hidden cash stash, papers, pictures, or whatever. Plus the "shark-bite" closure ensures that everything remains safe and secure. I have always carried my wallet in my front pocket and will admit that the larger dimensions of T.H.E. Wallet J.R. did seem a bit daunting at first. But after just a couple of days, and as the wallet began to mold a bit, I really haven't noticed any difference. I am very happy with this purchase and look forward to perhaps never needing another wallet. In that regard, please let me know if you'd like a leather trifold. I have a couple I don't plan on using.
