SUPCASE Unicorn Beetle Pro Series Case Designed for LG G5, with Built-In Screen Protector Full-Body Rugged Holster Case for LG G5 2016 Release (Black)

Great case. My Problem was; I had an otter box but it was very bulky. I took the hard outer layer off just to be able to fit it in my pocket. After use, the rubber outer layer became loose and wouldn't stay on, allowing dirt and trash to get in. The solution; I bought this unicorn beetle case because it was thin, low profile and had hard/stiff outer edges. It fits in my pocket much better and the edges are soft enough to absorb impact if dropped but rigid enough that it will not move. (I've dropped it a lot!) The port covers are even hard on the outside and thick rubber on the inside. They are durable and will not break off like other cases will. The covers stay put when installed yet they are easy to pull out when you need to plug something in. They have a nice tight fit with no chance of dust or dirt getting in. I've used it for about 2 months now and it still looks and feels just as good as it did out of the package. I'm a heavy equipment mech, the phone stays in my pocket at work. I am rough on phones and cases. The price was great too. I would recommend this.

Research found this case to be the best for the LGG5. What can I say other than I'm glad I did my research? Phenomenal build. Excellent quality. Some will knock the fact that it's difficult to take on and off to make swap out batteries, but I appreciate the case's rigidity and tight-fitting edges--this is a sign of a well-made and durable case. In addition, it wasn't long before I developed a technique that allows me to change the case and swap out batteries in <1min I'm not going to spoil the "how to" part. Figure it out yourself by following these easy instructions:Lay down a microfiber towel. Turn off phone. Take an ID card, or debit card (not credit card--can you guess why?), etc. and slide it into the slit between front-face frame plate and main body case. Nudge it along the edge to loosen the body from the plate and slip your finger in, drop card, and proceed to move your finger around the edge of the phone, gently uncovering the corner pieces (weakest parts). Once removed, place body on towel. Hold phone with both hands and use fingers to lift phone from the plate at the corners. Phone should pop out. Do the battery exchange thing. (I like to give my phone a quick wipe front and back to remove dust oil, etc.). Then, snap plate on. Important part: slide top part of phone into main body case first since headphone jack is most sensitive (and weakest) part of the case. Then do sides. Then pull over bottom. Final press to enclose on all edges. Microfiber swipe one more time. Done. Too many words, but use technique and get case on and off quick to exchange battery and get going. lastly, the holster is a boss--solid clip for belt, loop, backpack, visor--secure fit and unremittingly capable. Picky customers will find something to knock about this case. Ignore them. This case rocks and deserves hard credit.

I love these cases. Lots of value here. My first experience with Unicorn Beetle was when we bought a SUPCASE for my son's Samsung tablet. I would compare these to the Otterbox Defender in terms of quality and the level of protection they offer. The difference is these cost 1/2 to 1/3 the cost of the Otterbox. Fit and finish is excellent. The case consists of a hard plastic frame that clamps on to the face of the phone and a rubber cover that then slips over that frame. I work commercial construction and it does a good job of keeping the dust away from my phone thanks to the built-in screen protector and snug-fitting rubber plugs at the access port locations. My only slight gripe would be that the screen protector does scratch fairly easily and in the bright sun you can see a "dot matrix" on the screen protector which isn't visible in normal lighting conditions. We now own three of these cases (Samsung tablet, LG G5 and Samsung S5) and I will continue to buy more in the future. *Note that Unicorn Beetle does make a similar case for some phones which is not the "rugged" case, but pretty much just a slip cover and is not nearly as good as the "rugged" SUPCASEs.

I purchased this case for a G5 and after 4 years it's still going!It's a bulky case but worth it.Cons:The charger cover has eventually come off recently after daily use and the headphone cover is also wearing through from being used a few times a week.The front screen protector is getting scratched up with light to medium scratches but the phone is still very sensitive under use (barely have to touch the screen cover to swipe)Disclosure:I've not used the belt clip case attachment it came with but the clip is rotational 360 degrees with 12 o'clock positions it securely sits in and it seems pretty strong. The phone fits into it with the screen facing you/the back of the attachment to protect the screen even more.Pro's:This is a strong fully enveloping case which seems to be water resistant, drop resistant (normal use), long lasting and very functional. It has 2 attached covers (for the G5) for the headphone and charger port. It exposes all other functional features like all cameras, flash/torch, rear button, infra red, speaker and microphone with the volume control very much still functional under a rubber built in switch.Dust and dirt can get in between the cracks around the front screen panel of the case but still mainly keeps it away from the phone and rarely needs cleaning out, otherwise the phone sits in the case really snug with minimal bubbling under the screen cover - any of this is at the very edges anyway.Use:My phone's been dropped numerous times over the years from normal holding height even onto very hard flooring, used in the rain (brief moments as hard to use touch screens in the rain), sat on, knocked, had a couple of drinks spilt on it and even a few items dropped on it (nothing heavy though I don't think, items like the charger plug, remotes, closed water bottles etc).The camera and button cutout area are exposed which was initially a concern but both of these are inset as seen in the picture and are still functioning as normal without any serious damage (just some light scratches and wear).Conclusion:The option to buy this case instead of insurance (as I'm not one to lose phones) turned out to be a good decision as with the exception of me missing the charger and headphone ports and scratching these areas up a little over time, the phone's still in fantastic condition! (Removed only a few times to change batteries or clean up)So after 4 years (almost out living the phone) I'm happy to give it 5 stars and look to purchase a replacement until I purchase another for my next phone!Recommended!

Sturdy, does not slip easily out of a pocket, for instance, and provides a solid grip while being light - but it's no light-weight! The built-in screen protector is the best I have seen in this type of applications (I have several tablets and smartphones, all except on in a rugged case of some kind): no rainbow effect, no floppy touch. Price is more than right, and the included holster is a nice to have.

Rock solid is the word of choice for this case. When i bought my lg g5 it was very fragile especially the glass on the twin cameras. I dropped my cellphone on my table just 1 inch in height and there was a small crack on the glass. This happened 2 days before i got my unicorn beetle supcase. The situation changed drastically after i got the case, now my phone is strong as a rhino. Case is a perfect fit. Not water proof or dust proof since dust somehow finds a way in. But its definitely fall proof. It has a strong hard shell and also come with a screen protector. A must buy for every person who fears dropping their phone.

Acheté pour ma compagne qui n'est pas très soigneuse avec ses téléphones. Ca fait parfaitement le boulot, le téléphone est bien enveloppé, pas de perte de sensibilité. Le seul truc : le téléphone fait genre 6,5 pouces maintenant ... mais ça ne peut pas être autrement.
