I haven't had it long enough to figure out how accurate the life span is but its a great, cheap bulb. Using it in a Mole 1k nook light.

Perfect for my Halogen light.

I taught a 6 week screen printing class this summer. I discovered that someone had replaced the 1000 watt bulb in our Exposure Unit with a 100 watt bulb. It might have worked, given hours of exposure time. To be able to expose screens within the time frame of our class, we needed a new bulb right away. It's too unusual a product to exist in our small town, so I ordered this online. It arrived quickly, worked great, and my students did lots of terrific posters and t-shirts. Really, it saved the day to have this bulb.

Double ended Halogen lamps - as expected, and delivered promptly.

After having several inferior brand lamps melt and fall out in our studio Altman fixtures we decided to try the Ushio brand in 2 of these fixtures. That was 4 years ago and we just had our first one burn out. I'd say it made it's expected life cycle and more. (We burn these for about 2 continous hrs./week). Very pleased, will buy again!
