Grizzly G9912 Solid Maple Workbench Top

Used this as a tabletop for my standing desk at home. When it first arrived it did have some flaws but it was intact and can still serve its purpose. I contacted the seller and they went above and beyond to give me a partial refund.

Great price on a great piece of wood! I actually ordered this piece for a self-installed butcher block counter top. If it weren't for the fact that there were a couple dents (slight, but just noticeable enough) on the edges that would be the front or back, I would have rated it with 5 stars. I'm sure, if this were for an actual work bench, it would be absolutely perfect! But, as a counter top piece, I was forced to turn it around to the side that seemed to have a slightly less noticeable dent than the other. The color is fantastic, the finish is fine (I did add my own oil as additional protection anyway, since I'm using this for a bar area). But one other note to keep it from being a 5 star item is that I thought I might be able to flip the board at some point (if needed), but it would NOT be possible (as a counter top piece) because there is a stamp on the bottom that would have to be painted over to cover up... Which, of course, would completely negate the point of having the butcher block style. Still, I WOULD recommend this item!

This is a great quality piece of wood that I used to cover a glass induction stove top after my last one broke. It's got a bit of weight to it, so I put a few handles on the outsides and some adjustable feet on the bottom, which allows me to ensure that it's level. By placing it over the glass stove top, I've instantly gained a lot of counter space and it's solid enough that I don't have to worry about it breaking under the weight of almost anything I can think of. In addition, it looks great and even my sister (who is critical of my artistic/design abilities) thinks it's great.Pros: - Thick - Large - Looks great - Heavy (and heavy duty) - Easily adapted to my situation with minimal woodwork requiredCons: - A bit heavy, especially if you're going to move it around at all like my girlfriend and I do. - More expensive than I would have thought, but reasonable compared to butcher's block or similar wood tabletopsOverall, can't be happier.

I was hesitant to buy a countertop on Amazon, but the reviews on this piece were so good, I bought into the hype, and I'm glad I did.This is a beautiful quality piece of butcher block and super affordable. Anywhere else is $200 to $300 for something like this.It's a worthy buy!

Fit between my gun safes perfect. Gave me a space saving option to work on, build, and maintain my firearms.

I like the thickness, and smoothness of it. The only thing is there are no other color that was available and it is a little pricey. But other than that, I'm satisfied with it. I used it as a top for the base cabinet that I'm using as a laundry cabinet.

I actually ordered this piece to place on top of one of those stainless steel rolling carts for my kitchen. It arrived with good packing however two of the corner plastic pieces used to protect the board were cracked and there was a dent in the cutting board. However I did not really mind as it is going into a rustic kitchen and a lot of my new maple countertops are recently aged anyway. This is so heavy and such a great quality. The seams are done perfectly and the finish is flawless. I would definitely order this for my shop dye to low price but find it absolutely perfect for a high and kitchen. I paid my carpender a substantial amount of money to create maple counter tops for me and this piece was just as good. I would say to the manufacturer that they should offer the option of unfinished. Personally I would have liked to age mine a bit more and coat with tung oil.

This is the 3rd of this size that I have purchased from Grizzly; the 1st 2 arrived in good condition, but this 1 was a bit 'beat up' in shipping. The corners are most vulnerable, despite plastic shields and hardboard protective layers. This unit is significantly darker, more of an orange-ish tint than my previous orders, including another size and thickness. Really does not match well. But still a good quality benchtop, and the minor damage to 2 corners does not interfere with its utility. Because of the inconsistency in color, I won't be buying any more.
