Optima's are the best battery I've ever used
I currently have an Optima in each one of my 5 vehicles. 3 trucks and 2 cars. Mostly I use the Red tops but this yellow was a better fit for the vehicle i was putting it in. You cant go wrong getting an Optima, no matter what you plan to put your battery through.(Update)I have been using this in my car for the last 3 years with no problems. It endures -5 degree nights and my car starts in the morning with no hesitation. It also preforms well in moderate summers between 95 and 100 deg on average. I park the car outside in the weather so the battery gets to experience whatever temp mother nature throws at it.****Update4+ years after purchase this battery is still working great. (So are the rest of my Optima's) For a year and a half this has been in my full sized off-road rig. It has a Chevy 350 with modifications, 180 amp alternator, a 12,000 pound winch and dual 14 inch radiator electric fans. I don't run the truck every day or even every week some times so when I am done with the truck I disconnect the battery until I need the truck again. It sits through the winter and summer and every time I need the truck it starts no problem. Even after years of use and sitting around I can count on it to start the truck in -20 Deg winters or 95+ Deg summers then run all day/night under harsh conditions.

This "Yellow Top" works great!
I've used "Optima" batteries for years, that's why I bought this battery for my 04' Corvette "vert",I bought in Oct. 2016.On Optima's website, they said this battery would NOT fit my Vette. They did have a "Red Top"battery that would fit, which had very similar dimensions to this "Yellow Top". I really wantedthe "Yellow Top", due to it overall specs. Because of Corvette's electronic systems, there isa continuous draw on the battery, which will drawn the battery down, when not driven enough.I thought this battery might help me with that ongoing problem.I decided to call Optima, to asked why this "Yellow Top" wouldn't fit. Their representative saidthe terminals on the "Yellow Top", were in the wrong position, or wrong ends, regarding how thebattery was "supposed" to be installed. Their statement didn't make sense to me, when viewingtheir website's picture of this battery.I decided to take a chance, and ordered the "Yellow Top". It fits great! I've had it installed in myVette for a couple of months. It starts a lot better than my old battery, and that's also withouthaving to use a "trickle" charger all the time.Would I buy this battery again? You betcha!

The last Optima I'll ever buy.
I have had Optima batteries in every car I have owned for probably 30 years or so, and I have always had multiple cars at any given time. Initially I had Red Tops and every one I bought lasted years and years, and never had any issue with them at all. The first (and 2nd) Red Top I bought lasted over 10 years, as a matter of fact that battery was the first of 2 in a dual battery 1991 GMC Suburban, eventually it had 2 of them. I had that truck for 25 years and may have bought 4 Optima batteries total for it in that time. One or the other of the 2 batteries in it always had enough to start it. That truck was always there if I ever needed to jump start another car, even though it eventually was no longer my primary vehicle.Fast forward to more recently, I have not had an Optima in the last ten years that has much outlived it's warranty period. Got maybe 3 and a half to 4 years out of them before they would no longer hold a charge. Lat batch I bought were Yellow Tops in the hopes that they would be chargeable for longer than the Red Tops. And.. no. I bought 3 of them 3 years ago, 2 are stone dead, and the 3rd is not great. If these batteries (red or yellow) sit for more than a couple weeks they're too weak to start the cars, and only one will still charge at all. Even the one that does charge will will only hold it for a week or 2.There was a time when these batteries were a premium product that was worth every penny of the premium price charged for them. Now they're no better performers than even the cheapest house brand batteries. I have bought all the Optimas since I have lived where I currently live off of Amazon, so none of the cores were turned in. I have lived here for 6 years and have a literal stack of dead Optimas as tall as me (I am over 6 foot), reds and now yellows. They will all be going to the recycler and never again will there be another. I am replacing them all with Antigravity LiFePO4 batteries with the hopes that once again I can have vehicles that I no longer have to worry whether they'll start or not every time I turn the key.

No Problems so Far
My battery arrived in a snug cardboard box with holes in the sides for handles. If I remember right the cardboard at the bottom extended a bit to protect it if it was dropped 3 or 4 inches straight down. After reading the reviews here, I put a sign on my door asking the delivery person to ring the bell and wait so I could examine the packaging. UPS delivered it. I don't know if they would have taken it back had I refused it because no signature was required. In any event, the packaging was fine, the battery was fine, and it works fine. This is not my first Optima. If it works as well as the last one, a different model, I will be happy. However, I just noticed that even though this item is sold by and fulfilled by Amazon, there is a notation of no returns. I don't remember seeing this when I purchased it in January and the restriction does not appear on my invoice. This battery has a three year replacement warranty and I am wondering how that is going to work with Amazon not accepting returns. I always assumed that Amazon was an authorized dealer for items sold and fulfilled by Amazon. As soon as I find out where to make an inquiry in Amazon's maze of a help system I will report here what I find out.
