Yoga for beginners = ME !!!!!!
I am what you call a "5-year beginner" when it comes to yoga & meditation. I have not developed the attention span to sit alone or get on floor for extended periods of time. Although I have health issues (including severe back pain), I like to be active & moving when I exercise. Calming my mind, body & spirit is a hard one for me. The author helps with this issue. The book is easy to follow instructions on how to perform yoga, proper breathing, etc., and photos of each pose. I especially benefit from the chapter "Turning Yoga Into a Habit.". Thank you for this book, Tai Morello.

An easy read, quick start beginner's yoga book and it is much appreciated!
I was looking for something to give me a quick overview and easy explanation regarding yoga, both for the health benefits and a clear explanation of the poses. This book met those criteria quite well, although I was a bit confused by the absence of any explanation concerning the transition from one pose to the next. Otherwise, this book was a wonderful, free download and I will be starting my yoga anew this morning after many years. I know my body and mind will benefit, and that means that others around me will also benefit! So, thank you to Tai Morello for offering this gift of health.

This book is well illustrated and has excellent information.
For a few years, I have taken different a Yoga classes. However, I wanted to find a helpful book with Yoga poses in it for reference purposes. This book is quite helpful for me. I found several poses that were not given in my classes, foe example, Prayer Pose, Boat pose and several others.The illustrations are excellent and the descriptions are wonderful.My favorite thing about this book is that each pose is well describesdcand lists the benefits to the body. I was able to choose new Yoga poses for my shoulder and back that will be very healing for me.If you are new to Yoga or want to learn more about Yoga, then I suggest this book your you.

Got the book but cant do any of the poses yet. Disappointing.
I am recovering from a near fatal head on accident a year ago and planned to use some moves from the book to help me get back into shape, but I cant use one of them. I have heard there are better authors too, but this one may work fine for others, just didn't for me. Too bad.

Great beginner's guide that introduced me to Yoga basics!
I bought this book because I wanted to practice yoga. This remains my very favorite basic yoga book for my home practice. It has the best step-by-step directions for each pose, as well as modifications. It has photos of people in the poses, which I find much more useful than the drawings found in other books. Pictures are well suited and aid the instruction. I absolutely loved this book, it's a great beginner's guide that introduced me to Yoga basics, as well as the many styles of yoga and how best to structure a session.

Great book for beginners
Great book for beginners!I really liked this book. It has dozens of great yoga poses to help you relax, lose weight, get rid of a cold, and more.Every pose is very well explained in terms of how to do it and what are its benefits.Unlike most yoga books out there, this book has illustrations for the poses, so that you can actually see how to do them, instead of just having to use your imagination.Good read!

This book gave me the perfect preparation
This book is about yoga and it’s contains 30 yoga poses. After discussing the equipment it tells you the dos and don’ts s before during and after doing yoga. It also discusses how to avoid injuries due to Yoga, as well as safety tips. Then in Chapter 2 it includes the most often basic yoga poses with instructions as well as illustrations. Chapter 3 is about warm up routines. I found this book to be a all rounder, yoga is one of the most holistic approach to well-being for me. This book gave me the perfect preparation to do all the yoga I needed to at home. I now feel competent and have even mastered a lot of poses. Good book for yoga beginners.

I suffer from several autoimmune issues that result in issues with pain, gait, digestion, neuropathy, insomnia, chronic fatigue, dizziness, and a host of other issues. I am 47 and was very active until the onset my health issues. Yoga has been suggested repeatedly. The author has laid this book out nicely...explaining the pose and it’s benefits. I will plan on following the routine she recommends until I am more familiar with the poses and their benefits. She also suggests different poses for different body parts/systems. It’s an easy read and I’m definitely motivated.

Great for beginners!
I have been wanting to get into yoga for ages but I never knew where to start, and anytime I spoke to anybody I know that practices yoga they couldn't break it down for me enough for me to understand the transitions between the poses. This book does a great job at explaining the transitions as well as providing some of the background to the practice of yoga. I fell like I actually learned something!

absolument parfait! il est très clair, et en format kindle je le recommande encore plus!je suis une nouvelle adept du yoga, je me demande comment j'ai fait pour attendre si longtemps pour m'y mettre, pas besoin de coatch tout y est bien expliqué, on peut apprendre en douceur et en autonomie, je suis conquise!

Great for beginners
I started my yoga journey a few weeks ago and this book really compliments my practice perfectly. It explains the poses along with each ones benefits but also takes into account any challenges people might have that affects their practice. I suffer from complex lower back issues and have suffered from chronic pain for over 20 years. I've already begun to see improvements so yoga really does work! My mental health is better and the book also talks about the benefits that meditation brings and how it works alongside regular yoga practice. I highly recommend this book and will be using it to improve my poses and also to my general wellbeing.
