Great kit, take your time and it will be good as new.
Great kit. Cleaning the old foam was more difficult than the installation. Looks brand new and will buy the Bose kit from Springfield. The only issue is the package was smooshed by the mail and the glue exploded. Thankfully it was bagged separately. There was plenty in the tube to do the job so it's all good. Not Springfield's fault.

It's not easy, but replacing the rotten or torn surrounds of your speakers can be done with this kit. I shouldn't say that it's not easy, but it is time-consuming. I went through this process with one speaker, and started on the next before I realized that the second speaker had further damage, and basically unsalvageable. This caused me to change tactics, and I ended up ordering a pair of replacement drivers for the cabinets that I have. These replacement woofers (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0045506KU/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_47) were $12 ea. and sound great -- even better because they were so cheap, but they sound right at home in a pair of cabinets that were considerably more expensive.Bottom line: if you have a pair of expensive speakers that are functioning well (other than the surrounds) and have plenty of life left in them, use this surround kit and take your time. Otherwise, if you have a good cabinet, and you don't care what woofers are in them, buy replacements instead.

Speakers saved from the burn pile.
I had a set of expensive infinity speakers that had been in storage for over 10 years, when I plugged them in to my dismay I heard a distorted noise on heavy base, I pulled the speaker covers and my heart sank to see the foam insulation gone. Jumped on the Amazon to see how much replacement speakers cost... waayyy to much for my budget. But happened to see the "Infinity 8" Speaker Foam Surround Repair Kit - 8 Inch" Fantastic.... I didn't know they made such a thing! Took a chance and ordered a set. After watching several videos from the Springfield Speaker website I was able to tackle the repairs over two evenings, removing the old glue and speaker foam was tedious and time consuming but not difficult. Ample glue was supplied with the kit. gluing the new foam on was easy and strait forward. ... I waited 2 days to dry(instructions said only 1 day was needed)and applied high volume with base..... success, no distortion, I will not hesitate to buy the 12" Speaker Foam Surround Repair Kit for my other set of speaker.

You do not RUSH removing the original glue or material!
There several things I liked about the product. 1) The instructions were very clear to follow 2) The 8" foam surrounds fit perfectly 3) The adhesive was easy to apply, however like the instructions informs you, center the foam surround correctly the first time because the glue is not forgiving. I was very pleased with my effort to replace the foam surrounds. After letting the glue cure for 48 hours per the instructions my 40 year old Advent speakers sound better than they ever have. Now let's turn up the volume on some vintage Disco Music!!!!

Fantastic! I've got an OLD pair of Infinity speakers that my dad had bought probably 30 years ago. The sound they put out is fantastic. Unfortunately, after moving to Arizona, the dry air sped up the deterioration of the original foam surrounds and they rapidly disintegrated. This repair kit was salvation for these speakers, as I really didn't want to have to throw them out. The instructions were detailed and explained well. Installation was pretty easy. You just have to have a little patience is all. Once they were on, I had to force myself to wait for them to cure fully before throwing them under load...but these speakers have life in them again, and it's wonderful!

It made a pair of roached 1974 Infinity speaker come back from the dead.
It made a pair of roached 1974 Infinity speaker a part of my classic rebuilt 1974 Harman Kardon T 40 Turntable. It was easier than I thought it would be and the speaker sounds like new. None of the Infinity sub speaker foam lasted until the new 21st Century. Much better than buing a replacement. Keep it real and Keep it original!!!

Quick, easy and worth every penny
The package was waiting for me when I got home from work. I thought that I'd wait till the next morning but I'm impatient and had to open the box just to look at the kit. Before I knew it, I had the old ring out and cleaned off. Soon enough, I had the new ring glued in. It all happened so fast. Just follow the instructions and you'll have it done in no time.I installed the ring in my home theater powered subwoofer. I've tested it out and it works perfectly.

Results were excellent.
I was initially concerned with the potential difficulties of refoaming the speakers. But with the clear instructions and quality materials from Springfield, and some very careful execution, the results were terrific. My Infinity Kappa speakers sound like new. Very pleasantly surprised. Thank you, Springfield.
