Happy with the materials used to make these plate mats

Looks nice. Has weird strong smell.
So we received our product and after opening it suddenly a very weird and bad smell was coming from the items.We washed it with soap multiple time, let is sank in water and then dried it with towel. Smell is still there.If I’m couple days the smell goes away will update the review and if not will return it.
