Developing a Mobile Application UI with Ionic and React: How to Build Your First Mobile Application with Common Web Technologies (Coding Crusaders)

Just the facts, ma'am!
I ordered the paperback version (yeah, yeah, trees), and the quality of the print is very good for being an independently published book. I'm quite pleased.Michael gets right into the meat of Ionic development with React, which is a good thing because I'm not familiar with either, even though I've been a developer for about 15 years. The sample uses TSX, which is a form of TypeScript for React component development, but honestly, going into these knowing NEITHER of them was not a show stopper. If you are comfortable at the command line, using Visual Studio Code, and have some foundational level JavaScript experience, I think you'll be just fine. After going through the book, and "playing around" with it at the computer, I'm ready to test out building a project with it. Any ideas?

Ionic with ReactJS Just Makes Sense
As a software developer who has been creating apps for over 24 years, I have seen quite a few advancements in technology. Ionic has been one of the most exciting in those years. I've worked with Ionic apps since version 1 and as such have a lot of experience using it with Angular as it has evolved. When ReactJS was announced as an option with Ionic 4, I felt like waiting and seeing how it would go. This book does a great job of highlighting some of the most attractive things about ReactJS for this Ionic developer! It has the feel of an intro-to book while providing plenty of meat into an example application I am able to build right along. I am definitely looking forward to the other volumns in this series!

Clear, quick, practical and useful
This books takes us through creating an Ionic app, with all kinds of examples that are directly useful for our own apps. It has a link to all the code used in the book, which I found essential to understand how state management works with Ionic / React.

Quick walk through
Fast pace introduction. Good for developers with good grip on basics or the that want a quick start. Doesn't cover concepts.
