It’s a must have!!
Ok so I’ve been doing a lot of tent shopping. Literally sent 3 tents back!! But I finally found the one!! This tent is amazing!! I set it up in my backyard to see how everything was gonna fit. And my queen size mattress fit with plenty of room for my little nightstand table..I wanted a rainproof tent as I live in the Pacific Northwest where it rains a lot! Well it rained last night and I got to test it out. Now it wasn’t a heavy down pour, but it rained for a few hours! I stayed completely dry!! Not one bit of water came in my tent!! The only thing I wish I had was a front porch so when I go to get out of my tent I won’t get rained on right away. But that’s an easy fix!!If you need a rainproof tent, BUY this one!! You’ll love it!! It’s easy to put up for just one person. First time took me 15 minutes.. without reading instructions..

Solid Tent for the Price
This review is for the 6 person version of this tent. It is very spacious and has enough height to stand up inside. Like most tents the 6 person is best suited for no more than 4 people. I used a large double sleeping pad (56 inches) and also fit in 2- 20 inch sleeping pads. The tent is not the easiest to setup but the instructions were clear enough. Definitely better as a 2 person job, doing this by yourself will be difficult. Had trouble getting the rain fly on correctly but was doing it at night without the instructions so was likely user error. No rain so can't speak to that but overall seems to be pretty solid tent for the price. I have used this tent a couple of times. Once in some very heavy wind around 45 mph gusts. The tent took a beating but we had it guy lined out and it stood up well considering how big it is and how hard the wind was blowing. I had to get out a couple of times and reset the guy lines because the wind was howling. It could use a few more guy line attachment spots but it is unlikely you be in that kind of wind with a tent this size very often. I was surprised how it handled it. This is a pretty impressive tent for the money

*mostly* accurate descriptions and reviews
I bought this for a company camping event. I haven’t camped often and didn’t own much equipment. Living in Colorado, a company camp out felt like a good time to start stocking the coffers for the future of camping. The Wind resistant rating was a major selling point as I wasn’t sure when I would use the in the future and thought it was worth a few extra bucks. The weather was immaculate for the first 2 days of our trip. The second night, an unexpected storm came through. Our entire group had to abandon our team dinner do check and secure our tents - we had received reports that tents had flown away and people should get back to the site.Upon arrival at the site, several tents had been blows away and destroyed. My (this) tent had been shifted off of all the stakes, and was essentially free- roaming. It had, however, stayed in more or less the same spot, shifting only a few inches. I had not put stones over the stakes or utilized the tie down ropes, but we weren’t expecting the weather and I didn’t think these would be necessary. I did have some heavy items in the tent which had helped, so in this situation my tent was ok, especially after tying down and loading with large rocks from the inside.I give this tent a solid rating, but would offer a suggestion to the company selling it to offer in their pamphlet additional suggestions as to emergency precautions like loading you tent with rocks and how to properly utilize the tie downs. I’m relatively new to camping and followed the instructions provide to a T - I would have followed additionally instructions had they been given. All in all, my tent fared better than many on our trip ik these unfortunate circumstances, so it’s a solid B, but a little more planning would easily have lead to an A for this item:)

YOU CAN STAND UP IN THIS TENT
Two Weeks ago I went camping with a group of people - one was an acquaintance who had recently bought this tent. We all had different tents and hers was far superior because she fit a whole twin sized bedframe in her tent along with futon mattress and a table-she could stand up in her tent to change and actually had a large sturdy room. The rest of us had low tents we had to crouch around inside and when the wind blew the tentS hers held up well while our tents kept whipping around in the wind and hitting us and waking us up. The next morning she was far more cheerful than everyone else 🙂Fast forward 2 weeks and THIS TENT WAS PRETTY REASONABLE so I bought in a color I LOVE (I was happy there were so many color choices because I got a teal tent and she has an orange one-I think mine blends in with the environment a little better!!) and went camping again. There are many things I love about this tent and only one complaint.I love the big size (it's the size of a small room in a house!) and the very sturdy legs of the tent and the height. It has the 3 poles in the top to hold the top out, but then it has these wonderful long sturdy legs on all 4 sides that are so easy to install securely that give it the height and also are not part of the top assembly so hold the tent more intact in the wind! I like the fact that it has four windows and the mesh hammock in the top is a great place to put a light at night and it also has two mesh pockets on opposite sides of the tent well off the ground to store cell phones and flashlights. I also feel like the poles are a little thicker and a very good quality-I have had fiberglass poles splinter over time in the past and this tent seems like it will hold up a better with the thick, study metal poles. The tent was easy to set up and take down and fit nicely in the bag again (in the past it has been a struggle to get a tent back in its bag so I appreciate the little extra room in the bag so it is not such a huge struggle). After one weekend of camping it I think it might be the nicest tent I have owned as far as ease of set-up and comfort inside. The one thing I would have liked is for the door to have double zippers. In order to open or close the door you have to run the single zipper all the way from the top to the bottom in a very long C shaped track every time. You can’t zip the bottom zipper up a bit to keep out your friend’s little dogs and the zipper is nothing special (not YKK) -I am worried that over time the one zipper is going to start sticking along its long path and break. All of the windows have double zippers so I am not sure why they did not put one on the door. All in all this is a great tent at this price point. As usual with all tents I think it might be a struggle to fit 6 people in this one tent, but in my experience all tent size estimates assume there are going to be 6 very small people with no gear sleeping on the ground so this is not shocking. I think you could realistically fit maybe two adults and maybe 1 or 2 children on a mattress and maybe some gear in the tent comfortably at the most.I like separate camping cots and I can’t see putting more than 3 in there.I will still give it 5 out of 5 stars unless that ONE zipper in the door breaks and then I will be back to pitch a fit (hopefully it will hold up!)
