Seems well made and well finished. We love it!
Received our table yesterday (Cherry / Buttermilk version). Assembled it today. LOVE IT. It looks gorgeous. We certainly feel we got our money's worth at $415.00.It arrives in 2 boxes: The Base in a smaller box and the Table in a large probably 4 square foot thick cardboard box with internal styrofoam corner padding. This packing worked for us, we experienced no dings or dents in the box, no dings or dents in the actual table top or base or components, no cracked wood.PROS: It's seems well made and well finished. Visually it's gorgeous.CONS (possibly): The Cherry tabletop color is a shade of two darker than the picture as displayed on my computer monitor. The "buttermilk" bottom part color is less of a cream and more of a subtle light gray. Don't freak out about this. At first I was assembling this and thinking to myself, "Well, I could paint it Calla Lilly or cream later..." but once the table was fully assembled, I like it enough that I lost interest in that. It really looks good. Also, with the dark top, when we put a vase with flowers on it (a regular ritual in our household) they really pop! (visually).SOME THOUGHTS: We are on the "honeymoon" with this table, it has visually transformed our kitchen. We are leaving in the extensions all the time. Interesting thing: This replaced a rectangular farm table of the same length but 6 inches less wide. We wanted the oval shape but didn't know if the extra width of the table would be an issue in our small kitchen. We'll, it's not. The trade off of extra width with the oval shape is an ergonomic improvement in our living space. Our older table setup with hard rounded rectangular corners were not a good workflow (we would hit our hips on them). We don't know yet how "hard" the laminate on top is, but we are not going to temp fate and do things like... writing and bearing down with a ballpoint pen on a single sheet of thin paper directly on the table or putting icy drinks on the table without coasters. Common sense and good judgment OK? I have no illusions that this is the equivalent of a solid hardwood top. It IS something that looks quite feasible for a Thanksgiving or Christmas dinner for 6 people, 8 if you are family and like each other.ASSEMBLY TIPS: When assembling the base, DON'T go hog wild and over tighten the legs first thing. That is a recipe for unevenness or rocking of the table feet. You instead want to initially finger tighten the bolts THEN put the 4 legs on the floor and do the final cinching of the hex nuts after the legs have evened out through self-adjustment. You can "help" this process of evening out the legs a bit by hand - you just need to pay attention and see how it's settling, how the legs even out. You'll know what I'm talking about when you get there. Again: Common sense and good judgment. The manual doesn't really mention this practice.TIP #2: When we first went to pull out and then set into place the extra "butterfly" extension leaf - TAKE YOUR TIME and think it out. Be careful not to scratch the wood while you are making attempts to pull it out. It took a few attempts to figure it out and get it to release and set. We intend to leave the extension piece in permanently. Suggestion: IF I was only going to use the extension on holidays, I would consider putting a very small amount of paraffin wax on the wood "slider slots" track that the extension slides in.SHIPPING AND HAVING A POSITIVE EXPERIENCE: I think the manufacturer has packaged this table reasonably well. I strongly believe that receiving a sound, unbroken table depends on the quality and awareness of the humans designated to handle shipping this item. I inspected the box very well before I let the shipping person (guy) go. He was affable and listened well. I did offer and help the delivery person bring the table package into the house because, even if one is younger and strapping, the larger box is a bit unwieldy. For two people ( the shipper and me working in tandem) moving this into the house, moving the larger box was no big deal.I will say the shipper person * briefly * forgot to deliver the base (which comes in a separate smaller package). They called me and made it right, had it brought to me within an hour.WHAT I CAN'T TELL YOU AT THIS POINT: How the finish will last if you don't baby it.SPECULATION: I would guess if you wanted to go into direct gung-ho, reckless usage mode (icy drinks, slamming plates down, sliding unfinished ceramics across the table with no placemats or table linens, etc. then you can count on having to refinish this table every two or three years. That's life. TNSTAAFL.UPDATE 9/29/2018: No complaints, Love the table. It is in constant usage (3 meals a day). We have been using a table runner and placemats. Today, I cleaned the table polished it with Pledge and microfiber cloth. Table finish still looks great.UPDATE: 11/18/2018: Nearly 3 months later and it still looks great. No mars or stains even though we have done things like getting liquid food spill spots on table and then cleaned them up a day later, etc. We are gentle in cleaning table, easy does it, no harsh chemicals, etc. We do have a table runner and woven placemats on it. I'll put it this way, whatever they top coat finished it with is better than "Deft" - so far the finish seems fairly hardy.UPDATE: March 9th, 2019 We still * LOVE * IT !!! It's holding up great!UPDATE: March 12th, 2020 It still looks very good and the table is a "Grand Central Station" activity hub in our house: eating, reading, letter writing, bill paying, the cats jump up (yes we allow it - they own us), flower arrangement vases, etc. A few * very minor * light surface scratches that would clear up probably if we hit it with Pledge but that's our fault, the finish itself has not come off it. We are pleased considering what we put this table through and how little maintenance (aside from basic wipe down with slightly damp sponge) that we give it.UPDATE March 2023 Table still looks good. One side of the table is finally starting to have the stain come off of a small area that is a favorite, frequently used dining spot for one family member. This loss of stain may have come from hot meal plates/bowls placed directly on the table with no mat or hotpad underneath over the years. The table does not squeak, rock or sag - it's still structurally sound. I still regard this table as a good purchase. If this manufacturer is still making these as the same quality that I received then I can recommend this.

Like it not love it...
I purchased this table because i really loved the way it looked and that it was small enough for my eat in kitchen but also to extend it if needed for more seating and still fit in my kitchen. After opening the box (by the way it is very heavy and sturdy)....i notice a huge scratch in the wood on the top of the table that was stained and finished over. Also just my opinion taking the leaf in and out is not made very sturdy kinda cheaply, the middle opening when closed is very very noticeable. I have had tables in the past that "yes" you could see it but not like this. I really wanted to love it, i won't send it back as it is to heavy for one thing and i really like the size, the price and need it for the upcoming holidays. Oh one last thing, the assemby was sooo easy.I hope when you buy yours you love it.****An update to my review, i was very impressed to how fast of a reply i received from the seller and am very satisfied with the outcome of my concerns. Thank youI have changed my rating to a 4 star..

Seller did not replace the received damaged product.
Received a table where the included leaf was damaged upon delivery. Contacted seller. Seller promised to replace the damaged leaf. Seller requested the leaf to be returned for replacement. Sent the leaf to seller. They returned the original leaf with a very visible poorly repaired one rather than a new undamaged one. This whole back and forth communication process took many weeks. The manufacturer said they couldn't color match a new leaf to the rest of the table so rather than than sending a new table top with matching leaf, they and the seller basically said live with it and did not offer a replacement matching table and leaf. Btw. They did offer $25 for all of our many weeks of trouble and broken promises to replace the damaged table leaf. So, in conclusion, I am extremely dissatisfied with the manufacturer and seller's handling of the damaged table. Buyer beware.
