Used this on an outside camera location and works great. Easy install and a solid build.

I have a Ring Camera that I wanted to point down from my third floor. All the other basic mounts wouldn’t clear the ledge, so I only was able to record about half the street - the rest was the ledge. This helped me clear the ledge and get a much better view! While this wasn’t designed for a ring camera, I was able to make it work, I tightened some locking nuts on the screws from the ring plate and it is secure.

Good robust beefy build.

I purchased 2. As a universal mount, it worked ok. Giving the products an average rating because the mounting hardware is flawed. The nut and screw bolt to mount the plastic universal bracket did not match in either package. One piece was course threaded and the other was fine threaded. Had to find a correctly threaded nut in order to complete the package. Probably will not purchase any additional camera extensions of this particular product. Be prepared to find matching hardware to complete your project.

I purchased this item to get a better view of the front doors of my shed due to the Gable overhang. I was able to acquire exactly that with this extension. So far so good with this item. It seems to be made fairly solid. We'll see how the paint on it holds up to the weather. Fortunately I did not have to do anything crazy to attach my camera. I just added some lock washers to the screws that came with it and it mounted my camera just fine. Depending on the size of the screws you plan on using to attach this to the side of whatever, I will suggest make sure you have a few extra washers. The holes were good in size but the screws I was using weren't that fat so I did have to put washers so secure them better. Otherwise I'm happy with this item and would recommend it.

I like the lightweight and rust resistant design. I like the versatility. However, the hardware is not applicable. The grommet is not perfectly sized. The screws are too small for the mount's holes. The center of the plastic adapter is not the right size for the bolt, so I had to screw it and force it in. I will be using it, because it's the best I could find for my needs.
