The media could not be loaded. It’s great! I read a lot of reviews and I was a little nervous, but it’s actually great all around. Husband said it was so easy to assemble. It’s so easy to lift the seats and when we are done, I just close them up in 2 seconds. The crack between the seats is so you don’t pinch your fingers closing it. It’s supposed to be like that. Our toddler loves it and it’s nice to know we don’t have to worry about it being the neighborhood litter box! It’s hallow at the bottom and it comes with a cloth to act as the bottom. That is best so the wood doesn’t rot. The only thing I’d say is it’d be nice if the wood was a bit thicker. My husband and I definitely couldn’t sit on one bench together, we’d likely break it. I sit on the bench and play with our toddler.

Easy to put together. Instructions clear to follow. Seems sturdy. Matches a cedar play seat we already had so that’s a plus!

Pretty good for the price. You definitely want to staple the black lining to the base into the wood and up the sides. Your sand will go seeping out if it’s an uneven ground. Be careful opening, closing the top the second day that we had it the wood split. Was easily fixed with wood glue, and some clamps. Two toddlers comfortably fit. Easy entertainment for 1&3 year old. At least six bags of play sand

The media could not be loaded. The quality of this sandbox is superb! Its design is such that when you open it up, there is a bench on either side. The little benches can hold up to three toddlers on each side, which is wonderful when my grandson has visitors. It’s easily opened for playtime. I love the design!When I purchased the sandbox for my grandson, I also purchased a cover to protect it from the elements in Florida. The sandbox looks like it did when we bought it.It holds quite a bit of sand, but I generally only put 4 bags in it at a time. To further protect the sandbox from the elements we put a thick piece of plywood underneath it before setting it up. There is a very sturdy tarp like fabric that you line the box with before you put the sand in which is another wonderful feature.

Good quality product. Very easy to put together. Directions are very clear. If you have never assembled anything this will still be easy. All parts numbered. You do not need to be able to read as it is all pictures. Everything fit together easily. Best of all, the screws were good quality. Often when I purchase items I need to go the Lowe's to get quality screws. Not in this case. Extra screws are included in case you need one more. All in all, a good product.

The overall idea of this sandbox is wonderful. We love the lid that transforms into benches — it's clever and very convenient. However, the construction turned out to be quite flimsy. After just a couple of times opening and closing the lid (on the very first day), some of the short screws popped out of the hinges, and one of the wooden slats cracked.We’re not returning the sandbox because our child absolutely loves it. Instead, we’ll be modifying it ourselves by replacing the hinges and using stronger screws. I highly recommend that anyone assembling this sandbox consider reinforcing it during setup. It’s a great product — just needs a little help to last.

Grandson love his sand box, durable and large size for sand. Easy shortage after he his done playing.

Good purchase! My 2 year old daughter loves it. Perfect size and the bench seats make a great little spot for her to relax on. The stained wood color was as expected according to description, smooth and so far seemingly durable. The bench seats fold well, storage is small but useful. Holds sand well and so far is not retaining water. Fairly easy and straightforward to build, simple directions, only requires 1 person to assemble. I do wish it had an umbrella or covering and if I were to purchase another I would likely get one with an umbrella. Overall satisfied.
