Sturdy and easy to assemble
Simple, all metal, sturdy bike rack. I was initially slightly worried after reading some of the negative reviews, but it's perfect. Made of solid heavy duty metal (ALL parts) and very easy to put together. Would definitely buy again!

Sturdy, Easy to Use and Reliable
I was flabbergasted by the price of hitch mounted bike racks. I purchased the Retrospec based on the description and the price and have no regrets. I recently met a friend in a parking lot to travel together to a mountain bike trailhead. We decided to use my rack because it was so much easier to use than the rack he had that cost four times as much. The Retrospec was easy to assemble. All the parts matched up well. The rack is sturdy and easily supports the weight of two adult bikes loaded with accessories. I like the saddles that the top tubes of the bikes fit into. They have super strong stretchy rubber that pulls over the tube and pops over a square top post. I would feel confident that these alone would secure the bike but I use a few bungee cords just to be safe. The rack fit my 2” receiver with no problem. It has an interesting threaded pin that screws into the side of the receiver preventing it from coming loose or rattling in the receiver. There is a reusable cotter pin that slides through a hole in the opposite side to further prevent loosening or loss. I did find that I had trouble lining up the hole in the rack with the hole in the receiver (sliding too far in or not enough) but came up with an easy solution. I took some colored electrical tape and wrapped it around the rack bar that slides into the receiver so it was tight against the edge of the receiver. Now I just slide the reach in up to the tape.I can’t imagine how some reviewers had problems with this rack. If you assemble it properly and take some standard precautions (checking tightness and connections etc.) it is very sturdy. This is an excellent value for the price.

Good for the price.
Solid bike rack for the price. Holds 5 bikes with some maneuvering we had 2 adult and 2 kids and a strider on there and they all fit. Came with the wrong instructions but pretty self explanatory to put together. It does fold down when there's no bikes on and folds out if you need to open the back of your suv without pulling it off. But I wouldn't recommend it if you have nice expensive bikes as it has kinda rubbed some paint off ours

Built well, so far so good
So far so good, built well and budget friendly. Have it attached to my 2025 Chevy Trax.

Well made
Very sturdy love it! Holds five bikes. Has extra piece for hitch to really secure it. Would recommend.

Not built correctly from the factory!
Cannot assemble according to directions. The lower mast with the "Retrospect" sticker on it will not accept the upper mast because there is a welded plat on the top of the lower mast where the upper mast should telescope into. There is only one way to position the lowere mast so that the bolt holes line up. I will either cut off the plat or re-drill new holes.I am a retired mechanic and this is not assembler error!

Solid construction
The weight of the box suggests this bike rack is heavy duty. Design and function is similar to other reese hitch racks. The rack itself is built out of very solid material. I will probably never have to replace it.

it can easily be stolen, unless
I have received another Chinese product that's for a 2-inch receiver hitch that has a proprietary pin that can easily be removed you can't lock it in place. please just drill a 5/8 hole so we can use a normal lockable pin that we use in the United States. what I did was to solve the problem was use a step drill and bored out the holes to 5/8 in Holes. pics are included now I can use a locking pin and lock it to my Jeep. I would have given it more stars but it was completely over thought
