Vegan Corn Pudding
I love this book. I thought I'd never eat corn pudding anymore because of an egg allergy. I haven't tried the corn pudding yet but so thankful for the recipe. It does have pictures for each section.

Small but packed with great recipes...I would buy again as a gift.
It's a small compact little book, packed with some great recipes. It's a nice addition to my cookbook collection. I have tried 3 recipes and, so far, no missing ingredients and some great results.

You kind of need to be really good at cooking to make half the meals
I am a Vegan and don't use soy products such a tofu- this book has a lot of tofu based recipes- you can always substitute but other than that, it has some creative meals. You kind of need to be really good at cooking to make half the meals. I just wanted something easy to do for a family of three and I have to really spend time in the kitchen- so i reach for this on the weekends when I actually have time.

Interesting Volume
The book is rather small, thick, and will not stay open on it's own. The print is very small, I have to use a magnifying glass to read recipes. I have not made anything from this. However the recipes do seem interesting. However, I would probably tell people on limited budgets that there are better cookbooks to buy before this one.

Poorly organized and not for the casual cook
However did 500 recipes fit in this tiny book? Incomplete instructions, no cook time or nutrition facts, and a confusing organization method. Photo collages appear every 10 pages or so with 1"x1" images imprinted with tiny numbers. The numbers lead to descriptions at the bottom of the page, and you then find the recipe through a combination of crystal divination and index searching. The recipes themselves are going to send you on another treasure hunt to figure out what the ingredients are and where to get them. Unless you have sorrel, mirin, pomegranate seeds, sorghum flour, Sucanat, dried lavender, etc. on hand or enjoy scavenger hunt style dinner preparation, I highly recommend another cookbook.
