Insect Storage Boxes
These boxes are perfect for storing and keeping insects like crickets and worms! I've been using them to feed my veiled chameleon, and I’m really happy with how well they perform. The design is simple yet effective, providing the right environment for the insects. The boxes offer good ventilation, which is essential for keeping crickets and worms alive and active for longer periods.Additionally, the size is ideal for holding a decent quantity of insects without taking up too much space at home. They’re easy to clean, and the material is durable enough for daily use. If you have reptiles or any pets that feed on insects, these boxes are a reliable and convenient solution.- Excellent ventilation.- Practical and compact size.- Easy to clean.- Sturdy material.

Great temporary critter storage
Now I only use these for temp holding, like picking up a new reptile and transporting it home, or feeding small snakes, i do not use them for permanent homes, and I don’t recommend them for that. They would also not work for springtails or isopods, the holes on the sides are much to big. But for temp transport and storage, they are great. The lid is pretty solid and stays put, it holds humidity decently well, and the material holds its shape.

Works for My Arthropods
One of the two arrived cracked on the side and luckily it was in a spot where I could just tape over it on both sides to secure it. I think it would be way more of a problem if I was using these as transport containers or putting reptiles in them because I don't think they're necessarily very sturdy but they work perfectly fine for what I'm using them for (an adult Madagascar Hissing Cockroach enclosure and a Blue Death-Feigning Beetle enclosure). The ventilation holes are pretty large so I suspect this would not be optimal for containing very small arthropods like spider slings or roach nymphs.I like the idea of the lid opening in two ways but it doesn't really work too well. It's a little hard to get open and usually if I open one side I end up pulling the whole thing off most of the time. This isn't really a problem for me because my arthropods don't need daily maintenance but I would be unhappy if I had to open them every day. I like that the lids have ridges so they can be securely stacked on top of each other. I have limited space and was specifically looking for some inexpensive containers for my arthropods that could stack. They come with little removable food dishes that fit into slots in the corner of the container. I'm not currently using them and was relieved that they weren't glued into the container or anything since they would have gotten in the way of the substrate I was putting down. I imagine if you're using this as a transport container and you were using the food dish, there's a chance it could come loose and slide around the container but I didn't test it.I do get the feeling that these will eventually break on me at some point because they don't feel very sturdy at all but I feel that I'll get a good use out of them before that time.

Worked perfectly
But if you’re transporting a snake tape the lids down because mine escaped on me LOL. But these containers are lovely!

Great for feeder insects and reptile transport
I wouldn’t use these long term for my reptiles of course, because the heat lamps would melt them. I am using them for feeder insects, and it is working great! Honestly, they are pretty good quality, so I may buy more to have for emergency transport. Most transport carriers are more expensive and these are better quality than just using shoe boxes with holes drilled in.

NOT for Small Snakes
Had an incredibly traumatic event with these containers.I have a few garter snakes that are 5+ months old. I intended to use these for feeding tubs (as they're advertised) and was pretty excited about the partial opening lids.Long story short, one of my blue striped garters decided to make a daring escape, and got herself stuck in the vent holes. Mind you, she is not a baby. And looking at the holes you would not think they would be large enough, but I guess she was determined. She could not get herself out, and I ended up having to CUT her out of the bin. Which was extremely difficult as I was trying to keep her safe in the process. The bins have good durability, I'll give them that. And the concept of the lid is good. But there is no need to have such large holes for ventilation. Docking 2 stars because the ad specifically says "for small snakes". And does not include measurements of hole size (kind of important when dealing with small reptiles.)FYI, my baby is okay. This happened 2 weeks ago. She lost a LOT of scales (see picture) and will need a few sheds to get those back, but I'm just grateful that she didn't have any spinal damage and is moving about well.I'm short, unless your "small snake" is actually over a year old and no longer small, you'll need to go a different route. For their safety and your sanity.
