The best router bits I ever used
When you finally own the best router bits around, you think they should come in a special storage case, and they do! Test cuts with these bits are amazing; smooth as glass. The carbide tips are thick. This set has 1/2" shanks and very thick bodies, so the bits are quite stiff, and well-balanced, which naturally leads to smoother cuts.Choosing tools is always a trade-off between cost and quality. Many reviewers will post that you get what you pay for, and that's true. However, I know from my own life that even if you recognize the differences, and can appreciate the quality of the best tools, you can't always afford them. I believe that you should try to get the best quality you can afford, but intermediate quality tools can often be perfectly fine for the hobbyist or infrequent user. These CMT bits are the finest. When you're finally ready to spend the big bucks on the best, remember these. In the meantime, keep on cutting wood with whatever you have.

Expensive, but good quality.
I appreciate Taylor Toolworks investigated when the router set was 10 day late in arriving. Set is not in wooden box as pictured, but I am sure CMT changed to plastic box with foam insert. Well protected and excellent product.

Great starter set by a great router bit manufacturer
Great quality bits that make clean cuts and last long. Packaging was great and fully satisfied with the set. This was the first set (my starter set) I bought with my first router and now I will buy CMT bits when I can. You can definitely tell the difference between cheap bits versus good bits and this set is definitely good.

Seems like a really nice set. Bits Chip easily
Nice set of router bits. This one came with a plastic case. Seems nice enough. We’ll update if necessary when I get a chance to use themUpdate: I’ve had a chance to use these bits. First bit I used chipped.

Product is great... but Amazon's packaging sucks.
My biggest beef is that Amazon decided to ship this router bit set without ensuring that the wood storage case would not pop open during transit. As such, the storage case opened up and spilled out the router bits, and they rolled around on the bottom of the shipping box hitting each other while in transit.Fortunately for me, CMT made these bits well, and the carbide was not overly brittle. There was no chipping on the carbide edges of the bits, but there was a lot of scratched up orange paint. I've only used 1 of the bits so far... the 1/4" straight bit, and it cut cleanly in a block of hard Cocobolo wood.

Not worth the money
I got these CMT bits because they were meant to be the best, but the 3/4 dado bit broke on the first use. I have not had problems with the other bits yet, but I'm concerned the steel is not improperly hardened
