Fits gopro 9 & 10. Lots of 1/4-20 (standard tripod) places to fasten flashes etc.Very handy to put a tripod plate on so it works with changing cameras quickly on a tripod. Also, protects the GoPro that, while pretty durable, can be broken.Bad thing: The battery door can fall off pretty easily, but you don't really need to use it since it has a pass thru for USB charging. You may need to use that door to open it to access the microSD card tho.It's black, so you can use a white Sharpie and write on it so there's no mistaking where things are.

I have come to love Smallrig products. I have a full cage on my Canon R7 that is awesome. This GoPro cage is no different. The quality and tolerances are amazing. It's very easy to get the camera in and out, and the battery door gives you the option to use USB or not. You can tell how well it's made by how tight it is for the camera to slide in and once you close the door there is no movement. The only thing I need now is a lens cap so I can throw it in a bag without worry.The main reason I got the cage, other than for protection, is that my GoPro Hero 9 Max doesn't have a 1/4" threaded mount on the bottom. I looked to replace the fingers with a set that has the threaded mount, but for nearly $20 it made sense to just get the whole cage that has all of the options. I also may be using my LED light and other cold shoe accessories and this makes it easy.

Pros: The metal is sturdy and pretty lightweight. It doesn't add too much size to it, just enough in my opinion. Adds a little protection for the camera body though I haven't truly abuse tested it beyond general use. It does seem to add a little heat dissipation with the metal looking at recording times. For me it also made it a little easier to grip than just the camera, especially when the body gets hot. Has finger mounts that are slightly magnetic and fold away like the camera's own and adds a 1/4 mount thread to the bottom. Havin both choices is useful. Easy installation and not much assembly. A locking switch at the top to open the cage for pretty simple install/removal. Shoe slot and a 1/4 screw hole on top (pretty much have to choose one or the other but that's what you get with gopro size being what it is. There are a couple of 1/4 screw holes on the power button side for another accessory. With the optional battery door it adds more 1/4 slots and another shoe on that side. The cage is perfectly functional without the included battery door. Just take out one screw.Cons: Mainly the battery door. If you don't use it you lose that valuable accessories slots on that side. The problem isn't that you need to remove the original door, it's that the smallrig door is a part of the cage. It doesn't attach to the camera so there are large gaps at the top and bottom between the thickness of the cage and the camera body. It holds the battery in place with a soft pad. It isn't anything proof so I'd be concerned with even light splashes or dust. Of course, you compromise a bit if you need a door with access to the usb-c port, but this door is especially bad. I'd recommend getting a door that attaches to the camera itself if you want the open usb port.Overall it's a good accessory. Pretty cheap, small enough to just keep on all the time, adds a little protection and heat dissipation. 1 star off for battery door execution.

This camera cage is perfect! It's sturdy and adaptable. There are multiple 1/4" x 20 mounting points as well as a cold shoe. This has allowed me to accessorize the GoPro with custom items to suit my needs. I highly recommend this product.

Purchased for a gopro hero 12 and the all metal case fits perfect. Have used the case with multiple small rig mounting accessories and found the solid mount point on the case gives me increased confidence with the gopro placements. I have used composite and plastic cases in the past that had mounting screws holes crack or break. If you ate looking for a great case to protect the gopro this is a good option.

I have a GoPro 10 and it’s perfect in very way, the fit, the style, the material, the ports are big enough for easy access. The perfect cage !
