Cheap Faucet that Works. Not a Big Box Store Alternative
If you're looking for a high quality, very durable fixture for your lavatory that gets used often, consider something else. This is a mostly plastic part, with an ugly (but honest) gray plastic drain pipe that is less robust than some kiddy fast food prizes. The drain does not open very far, just far enough. It's hard to decide whether the old style rod and link is more or less vulnerable than this faucet's cable and weak plastic drain actuator that hangs out. Considering that I installed this into a house that will be torn down in two or three years, this will do the job. On a good house or a rental, I'd get something more substantial - time and labor are pretty valuable. On the plus side:Installation was very easy and very fast. The instructions were adequate to the task.Price was very reasonable.Ceramic shut-off valves are positive acting and sure even if the handles are cheap.Drain does operate.Water flow is fine.Mounting rings are secure.Alternatives?Spend more money and get quality.Get something without the remote drain and then use a "push", "pop up" type drain or a stopper and strainer if you want.If it hangs in there for a year, I may upgrade the rating.

Here's a winner faucet replacement !
Two new vanity installs was the project of the week. I originally bought two faucet sets at the big box store and then had the sense to check options with Amazon before my project got underway. I stumbled on this American Standard set and couldn't see a reason not to order 2. I wanted (at least) a medium quality unit with ceramic washers that didn't look and perform like a $30.00 plastic faucetWhen I received the faucets I was impressed, by the weight and "look". The install was super easy especially with the quick connect pop up drain control. I spent more time reading the directions than installing the faucets. When all was installed the levers operated smoothly and water cutoff efficiently. The aerator on the faucet does a great job with flow/air control... strong, soft, water volume.Needless to say the two big box faucet sets went back unopened. And I saved about 40 bucks after the Amazon purchase less the return. My only concern was a reference I picked up on in the directions / description was that the handles were plastic. However, they are a perfect match to the chrome body. and they don't feel cheaply made

This dummy did it, you can do! Pleased, here is why...
Does the job, and was very easy to install. Having never installed a bathroom faucet I was able to replace 3 in an afternoon with very little trouble. After doing the first one I felt like a pro. Directions easy to follow, especially if you pay attention to how you disconnect your old faucets. Clearly any dummy can do this. Just be sure you have some plumber's putty on hand, a flashlight, standard tools and possibly a bit of yoga practice to get under the sink. The quality is a step above the standard cheapy faucets installed in most homes these days. In my case it was to replace faucets in a home I'm selling to give the bathrooms a little feel of an upgrade. While they are not solid metal they are sturdy enough for regular usage and have kept a nice metallic finish. I was VERY pleased by the little plunger mechanism; works just fine and was very easy to connect. Clearly if you are looking at this model it's the attractive price before the fancier brands; at this price point I would be surprised to find better.

Easiest faucet I've installed in 40 years......
Arrived as promised in 2 days. Instructions were clear with excellent diagrams.Note..make sure to read the supplemental instructions for the drain assembly to leave the spacer in until AFTER connecting the cable release. An additional set of brass nuts are provided in the event your water line hook-up needs them. The drain assembly large black gasket leaked at first. The solution was to both tighten the nut and wiggle the gasket to help it conform to the bottom of the sink and create a seal.Fit and finish are excellent, looking as nice as faucets selling for double the price. Handles and valves work smoothly with good water flow. I'll post an update to this review in a few months to see how it performs over time.
