They provided timely updates about the shipping status and were available to answer all my questions promptly.When my umbrella arrived, there was a minor issue with one of the parts. I contacted customer service, and they immediately took action to resolve the problem. They sent a replacement part right away, and even followed up to ensure everything was in order.The umbrella itself is fantastic – sturdy, well-made, and perfect for my patio. However, it was the outstanding customer service that truly stood out. It’s rare to find such dedicated support these days, and I couldn’t be happier with my experience. I made a mistake installing the umbrella base- the kind you bury deep in the ground. I reached out to their customer service as there was no returning it once in the ground [buried with concrete]. They could not have been kinder, faster, and more efficient in solving the issue. We bought the 10 X 13 and are very happy with the result. The umbrella is large, heavy, easy to install and well-built. We live in a very windy region and need something that will not move when the wind howls. It looks beautiful and is not going anywhere!Kate in Customer Service was excellent, and we will soon buy another umbrella for the lounging area.

Good quality built well

I bought the 12x9’ cantilever rectangular umbrella in the summer of 2022. This will be my go-to umbrella from now on. It’s beautiful, easy to maneuver, and it is well-built. I started with the 39” square base in 2022, and it was sturdy enough that the umbrella didn’t fly away or break in high winds, even when I forgot to lower it while out of town a few times during big storms.I had a handyman install the base into cement this past summer (2023), and I love that it gave me a few extra square feet in my small backyard. It raises and lowers smoothly, and the coverage is perfect. The base took a lot more cement than expected (instructions say 500 lbs, but we ended up using 800-900 lbs), but it has held up all summer and looks great. I’m sad I won’t be able to bring this umbrella with me when I move soon, but I’ll certainly buy a new one in the future if there’s a Black Friday/cyber Monday deal.The umbrella can be heavy to lift on your own- one side is way heavier than the other, making it difficult to place on the base solo, if you’re a short female like myself. I used a step stool to get it on the stand, but having a second person would be easy to manage it.

We purchased the 13x13 umbrella and base for our new deck a few weeks ago. It looks and fits nicely, but we haven’t had a chance to try it yet because we are waiting for Spring to come! It seemed simple to handle when we assembled it and it’s very sturdy - we’ve had lots of stormy weather since we purchased them and they are holding up very nicely. The best part of our experience was the customer service - June and the Purple Leaf Team couldn’t have been more helpful and their response time to our many email exchanges was nothing short of stellar! We can’t wait to actually try out the umbrella and will post an updated review when we do…

Great buy for us seeing our backyard gets direct sunshine. We used the inground cement way to keep it grounded and I don't think it is going anywhere. The way it angles and swivels is easy and fluid. We now have different types of shade throughout the day. Amazing product! Oh, the customer service is a very positive selling point because whatever help you might need, they stay in touch until you are fully satisfied with your request. Remember the fabric has a full three-year warranty. Sun can be brutal and take its toll which of course means Mother Nature will rule the moment regardless. Don't hesitate to buy. I have an update on this product. This umbrella is a BEAST. It made it through Hurricane Helena with 75 MPH wind and heavy rain. No, it was not open and the only damage was my fault for not securing it properly at the bottom and did not put the cover on, yeah, huge mistake and oversight. Let me tell you about their customer service. The service is REMARKABLE and I can't compare them with anyone because it's one of a kind. I got replacement parts with a process which is understanding, fair and professional. This will be the last huge umbrella we will ever own. Purpleleaf is what they say it is and more.

Looks great

Every picture shows it with the base. It does not come with a base. It can not be used without the base. The umbrella sells for $500, but the real cost is $760, as the base costs an additional $260 for a piece of plastic that holds water and sand. I know that I should have read all of the fine print details, but honestly I just assumed it would at least include all the necessary pieces to at least be functional., I understand lights, etc. being additional cost but not the main parts needed for basic function. It's just a sneaky way to make this item appear at a cheaper cost.
