We were looking to replace a puppy collar for a 5 month old Lab. We travel a lot, and since he is black, he can be hard to see at dusk or on the dark. Although we also use an LED collar at night, we like to have a reflective collar to make him easier to see when he does not have the LED collar on.We love this collar! Best one we have ever had! The multi colors are attractive, and the reflective portion is woven right into the collar rather than being just on the surface. The reflective portions are bright white even on a cloudy day.We like the construction, too. The clip that opens to put the collar on and off the dog is heavy duty plastic, but the 2 D rings for the leash, the buckle used for adjusting the collar, and the connecting piece holding the two pieces of the collar together are solid metal which is not flimsy at all. The plastic clip that opens to put the collar on and off is located between the 2 D rings for the leash, so there is virtually no strain on it if the dog pulls, and even if it were to break, the collar would still be held together by the leash clip on the 2 D rings. Very clever and very sturdy.The collar also has some "oopmh" to it to help keep the dog from pulling. We prefer training our dogs to walk on a loose leash using just a flat collar, and we have noticed that having 2 D rings that attach to the leash causes a more even pull all around the collar when the dog pulls on the leash. He doesn't like the feel of the collar when he pulls, and he is more responsive to the small tug corrections used to put him into the proper position for heeling. Sturdier and more effective.This is the first collar we have had that has a separate small ring to hold the tags, and we love it! No more getting the tags tangled in the clip for the leash, and much less chance of having a tag pull off the collar. The small ring is far enough away from the D rings to not get in the way at all. Very nice!The only downside we see is that this collar is woven and fairly thick. We take our dogs swimming a lot, and although it is mid-winter and this collar has not been in the water yet, we suspect it will be slow to dry and may hold odors. We will be taking this collar off and putting on a different "swimming collar" when the dog is in the water.

Best dog collar ever, and I paid $13.99 - well worth it - this is NOT a promotional review! I have two big, very-active Labs. Reflective thread works well under flashlight or car headlight at night, and material seems very strong. Love the bright spring colors - got yellow/celeste for the big yellow Lab and Violet/blue for the medium Chocolate. Both collars fit well and adjust easily. Most of the hardware is metal, simple and strong - O-rings and D-rings. The exceptions are a plastic back-up buckle and a small loop tied to the logo which is for attaching dog tags, etc. The dog charm loop works well, and keeps tags out of the way of the buckle or any dog control mechanisms (e.g. leashes). The back-up buckle makes putting the collars on the dogs simple and easy, but there are two metal D-rings on either side of the buckle which are used for attaching a leash. So no pressure is applied to the back-up buckle (e.g. while walking the dog). Each piece of hardware has its own collar loop, with double or triple stitching for added strength. There are also matching leashes, and I may get a pair! I have a young Basenji/Pit mix. She is extremely strong and has managed to tear up 2 collars, one with a plastic buckle (she completely broke the buckle when she was on her tie-out) and another with a traditional belt buckle (hubby accidently looped tie-out clip through one of the metal buckle holes and she completely messed up the little metal piece causing it to fall off). Anyways, after searching for what seemed like forever I came across this collar. I was initially drawn to it because of the bright colors, but then I saw all the awesome features. I like that it has the white reflective material on it, as my sweet girl is black, so this makes it easier to see her whenever we let her out to do her business at nighttime...but it also helps for those times when she gets out and it's dark so that she is more easy to see/find. The collar is well constructed with quality materials. The biggest selling point for me was the double d-rings, as I felt for those times when we have to put her on the tie-out having two rings to connect the tie-out buckle through would prevent her from breaking the plastic buckle on her collar. I also liked the little extra piece to put her tags on. The sizing for this collar is very versatile. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a quality collar for their fur baby!

Good size collar for a medium sized dog. Very cute, sturdy, made of good material.

Love the quality and color even almost 2 years later. However my dog weighs ~65lb so I ordered a large, but it was too long for her. So she has had a medium and it has held up, but would’ve liked the thickness of a Large for her weight/size.

It is exactly as pictured. There is not much reflection from the collar except for the brand name tag. It fits our 20lb pup well. Like all dogs, he occasionally scratches around the collar. We take it off often to give his skin a chance to breathe. It’s not necessary, but we do it.

Got the collar with matching leash. Looks great. The only thing that would make it better is if the buckle was metal. But I love it either way. Purchased the medium size for my 52 lb Aussie German shepherd mix.

Stitching comes undone and digs into the dogs skin. Within 3 weeks it was not good anymore

As described…. I like the feature of double d rings. Which means if you clip both to your dogs leash you will never have to worry about the quick connection breaking. When you have a strong dog you will appreciate it.

Great quality! Only used single loop, single buckle collars beforehand, but I’d lost previous ones because they would break overtime. This one is nice a durable, I am hopeful it will go the distance.- con: I wish the reflective strip was better, or very reflective at all.
