Update 2/15/2021I can now confirm that immediately upon replacing this filter with a genuine Winix one - that the chemical smell went away IMMEDIATELY! It is 100% this filter that caused the smell. For 2 months, I ran this filter and I can tell you I never felt comfortable using it for one day. The smell never went away because it's a product they must use in manufacturing it. For $20 more or maybe a few nickels more a day, I will never use a discounted replacement filter. Not worth it.---These filters give off a weird chemical like odor, which was never the case when I used OEM Winix filters. I've had the same Winix unit for 3 years - in fact 2 of the same model and I've never noticed that weird smell prior to trying these less expensive substitutes. They may be safe to use but the smell is not going away, so I'm going back to the original, expensive ones to feel safe using it.

Fits perfectly in myWinix 5500-2 air purifier!

Wished these fit. I have a Winix 5300-2 and an older Plasmawave model which uses the same filter. This filter is too short by 1/2in making a gap and it also does not have a snug fit. Sadly won't work for my unit as advertised. Was a great price compared to an OEM filter.

i am using this for my Winix C535 and so far this filter has been working very well. i don't see any major difference in fit or quality of filtering with this off brand product. considering original Winix filter costs much higher compared to this item i am very happy with my purchase. its super silent and no chemical smell except for first few days of installation.

I ordered the filters that were supposed to fit my machine abs they were to big. Very disappointed !!!
