Basic NiMH AA/AAA/C/D 8 Bay charger.
Simple enough NiMH battery charger, for AA/AAA/C/D size batteries. It can be supplied power from either a USB-Micro port or a USB-C port, and the power can come from any 5v DC source. In the box you get the charger itself and a basic length USB-micro cable. The speed of the charge is largely dependent on the capacity of the batteries you are charging and the power supplied. It requires 5v as an input, so you need a 2amp usb wall plug for example to run this charger at the full speed. If you are okay with a slower charge you can happily use a power bank, power from a usb adapter in a car and anything else you can find with a 5V output to usb.I used this to charge some Energizer 2300mAh batteries that were almost flat, it took about 3 hours to charge fully using the 5V 3.1amp supply from a uk socket usb port. They didn’t heat up excessively, it quickly recognised the batteries and began charging them. It updates you on the level of charge at all times in 33% segments on the backlit screen. Once the battery is full it drops into a trickle change to keep the batteries topped up until you come to remove them from the unit. It took my Energizer batteries from empty to a range of between 1.45v-1.48v straight off the charger. This is a basic and well priced battery charger that functions well with the batteries i’ve tried. It's nice being able to charge a mix of battery types at once so you don't need as many different chargers for each type. The fit and feel of the charger is alright, you get what you pay for but if you don't knock it around excessively it should be perfectly fine.Rechargeables and chargers are at the price where it's not even worth considering traditional batteries anymore as you are going to save so much money in the long run with quality rechargeables.

A cheap, and cheerful, great quality battery charger.
Top Tip : If you require batteries charged quickly, look elsewhere.Top Tip : Any old power source will do, as long as it is USB compatible. The charger can use USB-C or Micro USB.At £14.89, at the time of writing,This :Snado 8 Bay AA AAA C D Battery Charger,Smart Fast Charger with LCD Display for Rechargeable Batteries Ni-MH AA AAA C D Batteries with USB Port Type c and Micro Overcharge Prevention FunctionLooks to be a cheap, and cheerful, great quality battery charger.But...Is it any good?Is it good value? Will I get a lovely cup of tea 🍵, at any point during this review?Well... the answers to these, plus perhaps, one or two, extra, questions, we might accidentally stumble across, during the course of my meandering, and often erratic, review, we should take a closer look... 👀...It arrives in a plain brown box.It makes a very low-key first impression.Out of the box, and the contents are easily catalogued:▪️ 1 x 8 Bay AA AAA C D Battery ChargerNice and simple.Just like me.Err...The battery charger is nice and compact, measuring :5.6 x 4.9 x 1.5 inches. It will charge up to 8 batteries at a time.It will charge AA, AAA, C and D sized batteries. It will charge up to 8 AA, or AAA at a time, or 4 C or D sized batteries at a time.It has a lovely large, clear, and detailed backlit LCD.This shows the 8 charging bays status, and the batteries charge in that particular charging bay. This is a great feature, and not one I have used before in other chargers. It claims it is a "Fast Battery charger".It isn't.It is not a mains powered charger, with all the power of mains current electricity. It is a USB powered charger, and that limits the power to 5V/2A.It is micro-USB or USB-Connected, giving the choice. That is a nice piece of design, and I like the choice given. If you require fast charging batteries then I would invest in a mains powered charger, and use this one for when an overnight charge will do.It has a nice firm, and smooth mechanism that hold the batteries in place. It is well-designed, and does it's job nicely. The charger has plenty of safety features, and will keep your batteries, and your home safe.It will protect against improper input voltage, defective or short circuit or non rechargeable batteries, immediately cutting the power to them, and refusing to charge.A great feature, and one that gives peace of mind.It has a 12-month warranty, and this shows the faith that the manufacturer has in its product.Great to see.The build quality is excellent. It has clearly been designed well, and manufactured to the highest standard,It has no ragged or sharp edges, no manufacturing flaws, and no loose parts, or rattles, that would indicate poor finish. It is all finished to the highest standard. To set the charger up, it just needs to be plugged in to a suitable USB port. The charger accepts Micro USB as well as USB C cables. Both are equal in their performance. We used a fast charging USB plug. You could use a PC port, a GaN charger, a normal USB Plug, a power bank, or any old USB source of power you have. Then load up the charger with suitable rechargeable batteries. Our batteries then started to charge. In testing, the charger performed perfectly. The batteries were loaded up easily, and getting them to charge was as simple as loading them into spring-loaded bays. You can load up 8 AA, or AAA batteries, or mix them up, or 4 C, or D, batteries, again, you could mix them up.The LCD then showed our batteries progress, as they slowly started to charge. We kept an eye on the LCD progress meters, and the batteries charged up fully, and the charger turned itself off.Very nice indeed.Value wise, the battery charger is fantastic. How it manages to sell at the measly price of £14.89 (At the time of writing) is amazing.I would happily pay the asking price.Overall, this charger is a brilliant bargain, and a must-buy, should you want to switch to rechargeable power sources. The benefits such as cost, environmentally friendly, waste reduction etc are clear, well known, and easily achieved. The charger is well-designed, well manufactured, and performed brilliantly in testing.I can highly recommend this charger, and urge you to think about getting one.Now... thanks for staying with me all the way to this sentence.I think we have both earned a wee cup of tea... 🍵... sugar?I hope you enjoyed our time together 🤎🤍🖤.Thank you for reading my review 🤗.

🔋⚡🔋A very well made USB battery charger - Can even charge D size!
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. Snado 8 Bay AA AAA C D Battery Charge. Smart Fast Charger with LCD Display for Rechargeable Batteries.I actually use a 'Snado' battery charger which I purchased last year and I use it every few days and has never failed me, the only difference between my old one and this is the fact that this one is USB powered whereas my other is mains powered so to speak. The difference is immediately obvious having been using this USB one for a week now, and that's the speed of charge, whereas my mains version will charge up 4 x AA batteries in a few hours, this will take much longer. For me that isn't a problem because if I need batteries recharged in a hurry then I can use the mains one, if not then this USB version will do just fine. So the only drawback is speed, however, it does have many merits and as such I'm happy to recommend it. Here are a few of the reasons that warrant having this charger:✔ Very good build quality✔ Will recharge AA, AAA, C and D sized batteries✔ Clear backlit LCD display✔ Dual USB inputs, micro-USB or USB-C✔ Multiple sources of power such as phone charger, powerbank etc✔ Smooth spring mechanism that holds the batteries✅Recommended - Worth buying👍I don't lightly give products 5 stars, however, on this occasion this is worth it purely based on the build quality and the fact that it functions perfectly, it maybe slow I admit, but that's the design of this charger, it's USB powered after all, if you're after a fast charger then you will need a mains powered version. This charger comes supplied boxed, no fancy packaging, just plain old cardboard, inside is the charger wrapped in bubble wrap, a micro-USB cable and some instructions. The charger looks and feels very well made, it has a strong look, the quality of the plastic exterior is very good, The top consists of a large LCD display which is backlit in operation and only switches off when any batteries on charge have reached maximum capacity. The display will show a bar indicator which flashes showing the battery is charging and the progress of the charge based on the number of steady bars. The spring mechanism to hold the batteries is really smooth in operation, it's very easy to insert your batteries and they are held well in place. The charger can take 8 x AA or AAA batteries and 4 x C or D sized, you can mix them if you wish. I would've liked some kind of rubber feet on this to keep it firm and still when on the work surface, unfortunately there isn't any so be carful placing this on some expensive wood :)The unit is powered by inserting the micro-USB cable into the back and attaching it to a relevant 5V/2.1A charger such as a phone charger, power bank, USB port on a socket extension etc. There's a USB-C socket on the back if you don't want to use the micro-USB cable. In use, I placed in 2 x D sized batteries and 3 x AAA, the backlit display came on and the batteries immediately started charging. Of course I was expecting the D sized batteries to take forever, however the AAA were charged up in 3 hours, well 2 of them were. Now this unit has certain built in fail safes such as over charging, over heat and can apparently weed out defective batteries. On purpose, I inserted a defective AAA battery (as shown in the video), this charger picked this up straight away and the battery icon flashed on the display with an 'error' message to the left of the screen. I was aware that this battery was faulty beforehand due to the mains charger refusing to charge it, so at least you know that the built in safeguards work!So for a stable, steady charger powered by USB then this is an ideal battery charger, the quality is their and it works, I'm very happy to recommend it at £13.89.
