This sun shade is easy to set up and works very well. It’s the perfect size for 2-3 adults to sit in and escape the sun. Resists the wind well when it’s staked down. It’s not freestanding so it has to be staked down to stay upright. My only complaint is that the tent poles are permanently attached to the tent. It’s a minor annoyance but it does make folding it up more difficult. I wish they were separate like a standard tent.

However, when Amazon Warehouse said "used-like new" and that it was just damaged packaging... Well, I got a balled up pile of fabric with two poles attached. Stuffed in a bag. I even got sand included for free! 😔 I had to unball it, lay it flat, and then figure out, on my own, how to fold it correctly and make it fit in it's bag. Which was actually quite easy, by the way. So just beware of the condition explanation from Amazon Warehouse. "Damaged packaging" ended up meaning someone took it to the beach, used it, covered it in sand, and then were either too lazy or too stupid to fold it away.Otherwise, it's a nifty little shade tent. I plan to use it for electronics while camping, to keep the solar panels in the sun, and the battery packs in the shade. And for the beach, of course!

Aug 20, 2023 Daytona Beach! My new tent was easy to assemble and even on a windy day it performed flawlessly. Sitting under this littlr tent provided approximately a 10°-12°F difference in temperature. Good job Coleman!

One of the metals that connect the poles bent out of shape in the wind before we could even use it once. Now we have to fly it back from our vacation just to return. Would not recommend at all, get something that’s better quality insread.

Kept the baby cool when it was sunny. And dry when it started raining until we could get everything packed up.

I’ll be to the point, if it’s windy, don’t bother unless you have solid ground to stake into. Even then, the rear vents don’t do so well with air release leaving your ‘tent’ to either collapse or fly away.I live on the east coast of Florida. Too much wind comes from the ocean side to have this shade be effective. You’ll either have a heart attack chasing down your tent, get a blood blister or gangrenous wound from setting up the poles in the clips and sleeves, or a brain aneurism from excessive frustration from your tent collapsing over and over again as the sand bags and included poles do nothing to battle the wind gusts.I purchased this for its compact size so I can pack it on the motorcycle and rip out to the shore with minimal pack. Word of advice, spend a bit more for something else with less parts that utilizes other forms of tension and rod with more effective sand bags.This is probably great for a non sandy ocean beach environment or on a day with no wind. Would use to lay in a park that has little shade. There is not much clearance for anyone with a chair. You’d probably rip the footprint/floor if you used one anyways.

This was absolutely impossible to set up and the directions were not clear. We found ourselves frustrated gave up.
