Also works with Perfect fit and Easy replacement in Lifesmart Electric Fireplace
I have twice now replaced the "fire" motor in my small Lifesmart fireplace.Twice I've used Amazon's services, once for the CHANCS TYC-50 Synchronous Motor , and once for their Generic TYC-50 Synchronous Motor. Both of those did not automatically designate their direction of operation which meant at times, if you turned the fireplace on/off you may find your flames going BACKWARDS and down into the "logs." Also, both of those motors developed a noisy clicking sound over time....and were not silent upon first install.THIS unit arrived in time, cost only a few dollars more, is silent, has exact spacing to drop into the two slots and tighten the screws, attach the "axle" that runs the fireplace illusion and once again, my Lifesmart fireplace is like new.DO NOT buy the other ones. While they work, they can go in the wrong direction causing you to re-start your fireplace repeatedly until they go CCW, AND they have noise. Buy this one and you won't be unhappy!By the way, it does not come with the bracket as shown, just the motor itself and that's FINE!

Achieved its purpose
Replaced old motor in LED fireplace. Runs silent. Product is as described. Wish it came with that extra fine zip-tie to connect to fireplace rod for rotation. But was able to work around that .

Very small wires
Hard to install, not a real match, did not like.

Works great in my WHALEN Electric Fireplace (Even w/the new Ø7mm shaft vs. the original Ø5mm shaft)
I couldn't find a direct replacement for the original JUN TUO synchronous motor so I purchased this motor, which has the closest specs compared to the factory original. The main differences are:● The Napoleon W435-0077 motor has a Ø7mm output shaft while the factory original motor has a Ø5mm output shaft.● The cotter key thru-hole in the Ø7mm shaft is larger than in the Ø5mm shaft.● The MAI TY-50 synchronous motor I received has an RPM rating of 15 RPM vs. 18 RPM for the original motor I replaced.NOTE:● This motor operates @ 50Hz or 60Hz (the AC frequency of alternating current is measured in Hertz - Example 60 Hertz or 60 cycles per second).● While most of the world operates @ 50Hz, the US (& Canada & others) operate @ 60Hz.● Therefore, @ 60Hz, the motor will rotate 20% (or 10 RPM) faster than at 50Hz. (60Hz/50Hz - 1.2; therefore 1.2 * 50 RPM = 60 RPM)● Conclusion: @ 60Hz (the US) this motor will rotate @ 18 RPM; @ 50HZ this motor will rotate at 15 RPM.(I'm no electrical engineer but if one of you EEs out there want to check me, feel free.)When I finished reassembling the unit and powered it up, I counted the motor rotating at…..18 RPM!NOTE:● My fireplace has a flexible rubber shaft coupler - which attaches the motor output shaft to the "flame" mirror shaft - which allowed me to push the coupler(designed for a Ø5mm shaft) over the Ø7mm shaft without too much trouble (it took a little extra force).● This **MAY** work **ONLY** IF your unit has a flexible shaft coupler.● Since the Ø7mm shaft thru-hole (for the cotter key) was larger in diameter than the original Ø5mm shaft thru-hole, I bent the cotter key loop end @ 90° then bent the ends of the cotter key around the back to prevent the key from vibrating through the hole. Then, as an extra precaution, I wrapped the finished coupler assembly with electrical tape.● The mounting holes and output shaft location of this motor were a drop-in replacement for the original motor.
