TaoTronics Bluetooth 5.0 Transmitter/Receiver, Wireless 3.5mm Audio Adapter (Low Latency, Pair 2 at Once, for TV/Car Sound System, Volume Control)

I ordered this and used it nearly every day for 4 months. It worked really well with tv audio out and Sony bluetooth headphones. Unfortunately the on/off switch stopped working and fell into the unit so it is now --- it should have lasted a lot longer,so I think the physical build quality just wasn't there, though the rest of the unit looked to be constructed well.. For $32 it wasn't worth trying to find paperwork and try for a warranty, so I decided to buy the new TaoTronics Bluetooth 5.0 and see how that one holds up.UPDATE: The seller of this item, Sunvalley Brands (I never had any problem with the seller, and I ordered the new item from them) read this review and immediately reached out to me via email offering a full refund. Great seller; I'm glad I ordered the replacement from them :-)

I'm not one to write reviews but this device warrants the words. How amazing is this gadget. I have an old Ipod 160gig that I have fully loaded with a good portion of my music. I never thought I would be able to listen to it with my Bluetooth headphones wirelessly. My headphones are Sony made and I feel have excellent sound quality but when used with the wire I felt as if the sound quality wasn't as good. Whether imaginary or not I was convinced it wasn't up to par. Now I magically connect the the device to the Ipod and I was blown away. It takes a bit to get used to connecting/pairing the devices but once done it works and more importantly sounds great! I can't stress how impressive this device is to me so I highly recommend it. Will give it a month or two and update this review. P.S. initial charge for the device was a lot shorter time period wise as instructed and I was worried I had a defective device but so far off what was only a half hour initial charge I've listened for over 3 and a half hours so far which is shocking. This is something I'll pay more attention to and report upon on updated review. So far? Awesome! Hope it stays this way!

With my wife keeping a different schedule than I do due to her work, I was getting a little tired of watching TV at night and having only CC as my sound: I mean, the drama of that crocodile chomping down on a wildebeest just isn't the same without the sound, regardless of whether CC says "(sound of bones being crushed)". This works like a charm once you figure out how. I plug the mini-USB into the back of my receiver for power, plug the minijack into the front for signal, pair the transmitter with my blue tooth headset, and voila. It even allows 2 sets to be hooked up to the same transmitter, even if I hadn't tried it. Irene from Tech Support was fantastic when I had a question on how it functions as a receiver. In that case, you'll set it to Rx mode, pair it with the signal sender like your phone or laptop, and then use a connection cord to, say, an external speaker to broadcast. To me, this has rather limited use (I'd just hook up my external speaker to the phone or laptop, unless being tethered is an issue there). Perhaps it's just a function that would come in handy later. When fully charged, the unit has 20-hour life, even if I've not tested this out fully to verify.

Would not pair to either my iPhone 7 or my new Bose QC35 Headphones (the very reason I bought it was to listen to music/TV late at night w/out my wife hearing). I'm hoping it was just a single bad unit. The Return to Amazon was VERY easy.I'm so hopeful about this unit and the highly positive reviews I've seen on Amazon & elsewhere that I will try again by ordering another.Will repost after the 2nd unit arrives and I try to pair that.Update:My first TaoTronics unit was clearly malfunctioning. Amazon gave me a full refund very quickly/easily.I ordered a 2nd unit which arrived 2 days later -- Paired to my Bose QC35 headphones in < 3 seconds and iPhone 7 in < 2 seconds.It works GREAT. I changed my Rating from 1 Star to 5 Stars.TaoTronics will be sending me a $10 rebate for my trouble. I didn't ask for it and I promised them nothing -- they just offered it.I was very impressed with my experience and the performance of this device.Lemons happen -- as I experienced with my first unit. Good companies step up in those situations, admit it and fix it. TaoTronics did that.Thanks!

This is a fair transmitter if you can fool with it for five minutes or more when pairing. It does pair sometimes in less time but seldom. I have purchased 3 Brightplay Live HD transmitters @ $4.99 each and these are the best transmitters In have ever had and I can't believe the price.The battery charge does last a long time on the Tao Tronics and less time on the Brightplay but it is long enough for me (11 hrs.) I have had the Tao for 7 mos. and only a couple months on the Brightplay so I cannot compare how long they last but I will take my chances at $4.99 vs $32.00. This is a follow up on the first review. Tao Tronics has sent me a new transmitter since i wrote the first review free of charge. It works great and pairs fast. The battery charge last a very long time and the transmitter is really clear with no interference. They have the best customer service ever. Thanks Tao Tronics !

Es un buen producto y muy practico, me sirve para usar mi antiguo equipo de sonido con bluetooth. Ademas mis audifonos que no tienen bluetooth los puedo conectar. El unico problema que encontre es para emparejar, no se sabe bien si se emparejo o no, sobre todo en equipos en donde ya has conectado otros articulos.
