My decision to purchase these was very much based on the other reviews and I have to say these are outstanding. I wanted some extra security for the front of the house one for the driveway and one for the front door but being these were battery and not mains I felt this would be a punt.. That said I am not dissapointed, just one of these is sufficient for our front porch and likewise for the driveway/back gate. It says 10 minutes to install and I have to say its esactly that although bare in mind you will need to drill three holes to secure the base. I watched the video from the seller of these and I am convinced there brighter than what the video shows. Tested them for the first time last night and again I am so pleased a real bargain at £50 including the batteries, no electrician needed just a few minutes to install yourself and if as per the packaging swap the batteries once per year.Almost 2 Years on and they are both working as good as the first day I installed them same batteries as well so in my opinion an awesome product.Update April 2020Still using original batteries and as good and bright as the first day i started using them also on a side note these are the perfect addition to a home security set up as i have since installed ring security with cameras. I have an open driveway to my house and these lights have helped keep my house and my family secure.

Admittedly I've only put these up yesterday, but having read the mixed reviews, I wasn't sure what to expect in terms of brightness and reliability.However, have been absolutely delighted with the ease of installing, the brightness (with new batteries) and the motion sensors so far.I've uploaded two photos, both taken on an iPhone with the flash turned off, so the only light is coming from each Mr Beams unit.I suspect we will have to change the batteries over fairly regularly, due to daily traffic going past and setting them off once dark, but to be honest, that's a small price to pay for having lighting in the areas it now illuminates.Very impressed and I never write Amazon reviews but in this instance I felt it was due.

Arrived very quickly with free postage but very quickly turned out to be a total failure. Tested it out in a dark cupboard and light came on ok, went off after 20 seconds then came on again a couple of seconds later, fair enough, close proximity, expected. Then put it in position outside attached to fence pointing at back door about 3 metres away, nothing close to set it off. The light came on when I opened the door when it got dark, went off after 20 seconds then came back on again despite me closing the door and coming back in the house. This continued until I turned it off, tried every possible position round the garden with nothing anywhere near it and it just kept going on and off. Sent it back for a refund. Also the light wasn't very bright with new batteries, give this one a miss, plenty off others out there to choose from.

As a long time Mr Beams fan I have bought lots of different Mr Beams lights.Unusually for me I bought this from Amazon Warehouse due to price fluctuations.Big regret.This is my first faulty light. It won't activate most of the time, coming on every 3rd time I'd say.As you can see in the pictures it's dark, I'm in front of it moving and it just won't activate.Unfortunately I'd just drilled it onto my father in laws house.Amazon wouldn't exchange as the price had DECREASED since I bought it they said.I'm stuck with it as I won't be through to take it down any time soon.Bad experience.

I was pretty sceptible about these lights but decided to try them out anyway. I have not been disappointed they were put up a month ago and have come on every time my dog rushes out to the garden during these dark nights and they allow enough light to fill the entire area of my back yard. Living in a terraced house I am always aware of annoying the neighbours with my lighting but the light from these does not affect anyone else
