Design for 3D Printing: Scanning, Creating, Editing, Remixing, and Making

My wife and I both have read it twice. She is going through it again, determined to learn how to make the files for 3D printing. I am 77 and she is 76, still willing to take a challenge.

Ich habe zwar einen langen Hintergrund mit 2D Design und diversen Modellbautechniken, aber keinerlei Erfahrungen mit 3D Design, 3D Druck, der nötigen Aufbereitung und Vorbereitung.Ich suchte ein Buch mit einer kompakten Mischung dieser Themen und praktischen Tipps und habe dann dieses gefunden. Bis jetzt alles gut.

This book teaches the very basics of 3D printing (e.a. how to download a file from your thingiverse) and really offers nothing in depth on designing for 3D printing. It uses 123design for its few examples. Good book if you’re a novice. Would not recommend if you’re looking for practical tips and tricks on best practices in modeling for 3D printing.

No problem

It is a beautiful looking book with lots of pictures with examples , names of programs , highly useful information for both beginners and professionals .
