Good Product!
I really like this product! It's durable and sturdy. My 2 monitors and CPU fit well on the top shelf. It works as advertised, and I would purchase it again. 🙂

Working from home made better
I replaced a previous version from another manufacturer and all I can say is WOW! Much easier to use and superior quality. Would recommend to anyone working from home.

Came fully assembled, easy operation
This Vari standing desk converter came fully assembled. I just placed it (it is heavy, mind you) on my desk and it is fully functional right off the box. It is very easy to adjust the height of standing desk up or down. The unit is very stable even at its highest position. The upper deck for the monitor is about 4 inches high, which, although a little higher than my liking, isn't too bad. The lower deck/tray for key board extends to the full width of the converter thus provides ample space to work. Overall, I am very happy with this purchase.

Love this!!! Perfect standing desk convertor
This is a great standing desk convertor. I love that in addition to raising the desk it brings it forward too, so its the perfect thing to use with my walking pad (so my legs dont hit the actual desk while walking)!

Moves the body position but doesn't solve monitor height issue.
This is a very sturdy desk, no issue there. Moves relatively easy. Has two paddle tabs on either side you grab to unlock and lift or unlock and lower. The desk overall is heavy, so it may take two to put on desk surface, but the assist springs help when raising and lowering. Problem is like most adjustable desks or desk converters in that when you change from sitting to standing position your distance from the monitors changes and so does the eye height to monitor height relationship. I have dual monitors. I placed them on the top surface of the desk in the position I needed them in seating position. I then went to stand and found them too close and too low. I changed them to higher and further back to fit for standing, but then when I lowered they were too high and to far back. UGH! This is a known issue with adjustable desks, but I was really hoping to believe those that say it's not that bad when I purchased the desk. For me it was bad. Unusable bad. I also found the mouse area to be just a little too small. If you use a track ball you will be fine. A regular mouse runs out of space. You will be lifting and moving. Not good for me as my work requires a lot of mouse movement.Loved the desk up and down concept so off to find solutions. I considered all kinds of monitor mounts to add and finally settled on the Ergotron Trace dual monitor mount - once I recovered from choking on the price. It works perfect - for the cost it better. (FYI, the included mount will not work on the VariDesk, you need the grommet or slim profile mount - additional cost of course). The Trace mount allows the monitors to move both up and down and back and forth. Exactly what was need to be able to adjust the monitor position as well as desk height. For the mouse issue, I purchased a square VIVO Desk Clamp Adjustable Mouse Pad. It just fits when clamped to the outer edge of the upper portion of the desk and hovers about 1/16" above the lower mouse area wing surface giving more mouse area and the ability to swing. The swing is important because it needs to swing out when lowering the desk to miss the base. The VariDesk Essential is a good start, but like most adjustable desks, it really needs an adjustable monitor stand to fully be beneficial. And a bigger mouse area would help too. Don't forget a wireless keyboard with adjustable desks. The less wires the better.
