Great Design!
I love how easy it is to clamp myself in and out of these snowshoes. I feel secure when walking in them even when the terrain has it's inconsistencies and variances to it. It's a great snowshoe for some incline and flat. Have yet to test them on more difficult outings so I can't address that here. I'm very pleased with my purchase!

Size
I bought two pairs of these snowshoes. It was the Christmas present for my sister and her husband. They both loved the present and used them next day around frozen Taggart Lake here in Wyoming.

The weather outside is frightening (well, it will be soon!)
"Winter is coming!"II love to hike.Snow and ice have definitely made this prohibitive, at times.I got introduced to snowshoeing last Winter and I absolutely loved it.What a great workout for the legs and it allows me to continue to pursue a passion and be outside during the snowy, winter months. When I saw these offered, I jumped at them.Strong and light, I already love these things, though have not had a chance to actually use them on snow yet.I do not understand the heel riser yet and do not think the last pair I tried had these, but will definitely be checking them out.I have checked them with my hiking boots and they fit well.Standing on the grass, they feel solid. They come with a little carrying bag.I cannot wait for the snow to come to try them out! Some of the snaps and buckles were a little bit confusing and I do wish they would have included just an insert to show me, but coming back here, I watched the video and looked at the pictures and figured it out.Well done and thus far, recommended.I will update this review when I have the chance to try them in the weather.* I base my own purchases on customer reviews and seek to thwart "fake" reviews. Good quality, comfortable and a nice fit with my boots
I got the largest size since I'm about 200 pounds and very tall so I prefer a longer size snowshoe. The bindings on these are very nice for the price and easy to put on and remove with gloves on. They ratchet tight which really makes it easy to get a good fit compared to the non ratcheting style. The inside of the bindings have a soft foam to help conform to different boot styles. My shoe size is a 46 EU which is just outside the range listed but I use a smaller boot and they fit fine in these bindings. For larger boots, size 12 is about the maximum for these snowshoes. The aluminum crampons are sharp and dig in nicely to ice and hard packed snow. They seem to be durable enough to withstand some walking on dirt and rocks but probably won't last long if used that way too often. There is a heel lift bar on the back to help with climbing and it easily retracts when not needed. The pivot is good enough for most beginner to intermediate use, and I've been snowshoeing for years and it's just fine for me.For the price, this is a very nice set of basic snowshoes. For shorter men (under 6 feet but over 200 pounds), I'd recommend the 25 inch size. For taller men 175 pounds and up, I think the 30 inch size works best but it's a bit of a personal preference as some people like shorter snowshoes. It also varies depending on the type of terrain you are walking on. Good quality, I'd expect these to last several seasons or more depending on use. I have been using some entry level Tubbs for the past few years and I prefer these because of the ratcheting bindings and heel lift bar, and they are more comfortable overall.

Well built and seem sturdy
Admission: there is not yet snow so I can only base this review off of what I notice.I have snowshoed for years but always went alone as my husband didn't have a pair. Last year he expressed interest in going with me (yay!), so I jumped when I saw these come up to review. In comparison to my trusty shoes, these look like they will work great. They seem solidly built and are light enough, to boot. Easy on and off, nice carrying bag. I'm pretty pleased. Will update after the first real snow!
