weaker than saggy lifts that I wanted to replace.
Like a fool I threw out the old ones. Now I have to go get some good ones so I can return these before the return window is up.These are weaker than the 10 year old ones I was replacing on my edge. Now have to physically lift the tailgate with significant effort past half way open.2 stars because technically they fit. Probably being generous there.

Weak
They are weak. Don't provide much lift help & will not hold gate up. Heading claims they are for 2014-2018 Edge. Who are they kidding? Returning.

Not Strong Enough
Easy to install but once installed, the rams are not strong enough to push the lift gate open. Needs a lot of extra effort to open the gate. It will hold it up once the rams are fully extended.

Bought to replace for back hatch theses will not even hold up back lid not worth what I spent junk

Perfect fit!
What can you say about lift gate supports. Well, we all need support…especially in a lift gate…it’s very heavy without it! Lol My old ones were worn out so I bought these puppies and switched them out myself, and they were a perfect fit. I’m not a mechanic, I just read the directions and used a broom handle to hold the gate while I installed it. It you do install these alone, please be careful. It’s not as simple as you would think…but being on my own, it was my only choice. If you have a helper, as the directions instruct, it is a simple process. Still, it wasn’t terrible on my own. Anyway, they are fine…they do their job and look perfect. What more can you ask?
