Does What It Says
This is an excellent mattress protector. I recently purchased a new bed from Mattress Firm and they tried selling me a protector for my Serta that was well over $100. I’m glad I trusted my gut instinct and didn’t purchase it as it was a huge rip off. This protector does just what it says is does. I did read a few reviews that mentioned that their bed didn’t feel any cooler, but I wanted to note that it only really works for mattresses that are made cool. The mattress that I purchased has a special cooling effect, and this protector is made to where you can feel the cooling through the protector. It’s not necessarily a cooling protector that will work on any bed. So I just thought I’d add that in this review so people aren’t misled. Overall 10/10 recommend!

Good compromise.
This product is a necessary "evil" for us. Waterproof covers on your mattress have to have a waxy or plastic-y coating in order to be waterproof. That, in turn, though, makes you wake up feeling clammy. Our daughter is four, however, & she sometimes has nightmares & comes & crawls into bed with us. She also, occasionally, has accidents. We got a new, relatively expensive mattress & decided that we'd better cover it in case both things ever happen in one night. The first mattress cover we bought was awful. It felt like Terry cloth on the outside, but the underlying plastic layer still caused us to wake up every morning wet with sweat. After about 5 days of that, we were done with mattress covers & were ready to just take our chances with something happening to our new mattress. Somebody recommended this cover, though, & we decided to try it before giving up altogether. It's a lot better than the previous one had been. It's still not as moisture-preventing as sleeping on our mattress with just a fitted sheet covering it, but it's a vast improvement over the other cover. So, for any other parents out there with babies or toddlers, this is a good option. It will at least keep you comfortable enough until you no longer have to protect your mattress. Thanks, Serta.

Holy cat, it works!
Stain Resistant: No idea, haven't spilled anything on it yet.Waterproof: See above.Cooling: Yes. Oh yes.We have dogs that double as Murphy's Law machines, so we originally had a different waterproof, stain resistant, allergyproof, etc protector, but I'd wake up every day covered in sweat. I imagine that's what sleeping in a slow cooker might feel like. Anyway, miserable. So I tried this, and was pleasantly surprised. I admit I kind of didn't expect it to work.Since we've swapped them, no icky sweaty sleeps. Does what it's supposed to do at a decent price.

Best mattress cover I ever owned
In the past, I have always bought thickly padded mattress covers. What I like about this one is that it’s thin, so I can feel my mattress plumpness through it, yet it’s definitely waterproof. I actually tested it with warm water before I made the bed with it. I poured a fair amount of warm water on it and I pressed the large wet spot into my mattress really hard and rubbed the wet area while pushing on it. When I checked, my mattress remained dry! Also, it actually feels cool when I am laying in bed, which for the summer, is great!

Decent quality mattress protector
So far it seems to be 100 percent waterproof and easy to clean, just put in the washer and dry on low, so far has held up very well in the wash, unlike other plastic covers I've had fall apart on me. However I only gave it 3 stars because for something that says it has a "power chill" cooling effect, the reason I bought it , it does not cool very well. Yes it does have a silky smooth fabric on top that feels cool to the touch, but the coolness is shortlived, and I wake up after a few hours warm and sweaty, a problem I've had with other mattress protecers. So overall good quality, ok if you don't get hot when you sleep, though you can get a similar one for a little cheaper.
