This brace is comfortable. I pretty much only wear out asking the house because it's just big enough to stretch out shoes and I don't want that.

This was the third ankle brace I've tried, after wearing the one my orthopedic surgeon gave me. It is very stiff with hard plastic over much of the outside. It took a while to loosen the laces so I could get it on for the first time. With my first brace I could loosen the laces enough to get the brace on without the laces pulling out of the top holes. I'm guessing that the laces need to be about five or six inches longer on this brace. I had a very difficult time, even with the laces very loose, getting the brace on. It would have probably been easier with someone else to help, but if I can't do it on my own it's not a practical brace for me. And then I had to redo the laces in the top holes, which required bending over more than I want to to accomplish.Braces that tie at the top are uncomfortable to wear all day, which I have to do, every day, at least for me. If you tie the laces too tightly you're going to cut off the circulation to your foot. That's how it feels to me. I tried this brace for a few days, but it just didn't feel right and my foot and ankle ended up hurting more than usual at the end of the day. Maybe it will work for you though as your injury may be different than mine.

I sprained my ankle and have a trip scheduled. My Podiatrist checked it out to make sure it wasn’t broken. He recommended I get this brace to were on my trip. He had me come by the office to make sure I knew how to put it on. So far so good. I can wear most of my shoes with it on. They must be flats nothing with a heel. A couple of Sandals wouldn’t stay on at the heal. Tennis shoes and flats work with it.

Good support, but they need something to grip the bottom because they are slippery

This brace offers great support, was priced well (when I bought it), and is low profile enough to fit in sports shoes and others with enough room. The one issue I encountered with it is that I initially tied it too tight, and it caused abrasions around my malleolus and on the top of my foot. After trying it 5 or 6 times with varying degrees of tightening I have figured out what is just the correct tightness for me to achieve support without abrasion and now it works great; but I was not happy with this brace until after I went through that process.

I have never used an ASO brace before this but I wish I had. I have tarsal tunnel and this brace helps to keep my foot in the correct alignment while sitting, standing, and walking. The brace itself is very sturdy and holds up pretty well. I’ve been using it for a month or so now and so far so good! The only thing I would change is the position or of the bottom foot strap to higher up or wider.

This fit me perfectly. The construction and material seems to be as good as the one that was prescribed and custom fitted by my sports medicine doctor for stretched ligaments in my ankle. I found that this brace works great at night to keep my foot in a 90-degree angle for plantar-fasciitis. It is a lot more comfortable and works better than the other plantar fasciitis braces I have tried. I have tried the ones that have rigid plastic on top of the foot, and under the foot, as well as compression ankle braces with straps. This is also comfortable to walk around in for that midnight bathroom call. And, on top of all that, it is a lot more cool. I find the other braces get uncomfortably hot.
