Would buy again
Great color. Very thick. I live in Tucson Arizona and it blocks out the sun wonderfully. The noise reduction it does a little bit. Worth the price

Definitely a top curtain choice
I bought two panels and absolutely love them. They look great out of the box, no smell and no wrinkles. They are 100% effective at blocking light. I can hold my iPhone's LED light directly behind the curtain and no light will shine through. They are also effective at blocking noise, but you need to have some reasonable expectations. Its clear different people have different expectations, which is why these curtains draw mixed reviews for their noise cancellation. There are some noises that these curtains will NOT block, but then again, I doubt any curtain can block all noises.I live in a busy city so I can give you some examples. The curtains will not block out the sirens from emergency vehicles - no chance! They also cannot block the loud, low frequency sounds such as the rumble of a large truck as it rolls right past my building, or loud bass from a car radio or whatever. What they can do, however, is significantly reduce the mundane droning noises off the street. Typical passenger vehicles are reduced to minor background noise, and the sound of people on the sidewalk is also greatly reduced. You should note that "reduced" does not always mean "entirely eliminated" though. Every now and then some drunk person will be yelling loudly on the sidewalk, and that can still be heard, but at a greatly reduced volume.I am actually interested in soundproof enough to the point where I want to make a YouTube video demonstrating what can and cannot be reduced. For now though, I can tell you that I got about 3-6dB reduction as measured by a professional iPhone app that I use. Just know that the 3-6dB reduction is an average based on the ambient noise at my condo. Noises that are particularly loud, or of a particularly low frequency (think bass) will continue to get into the unit.I gave four stars on the "value for money" because they are a bit pricey, but I am not aware of a comparable alternative that is cheaper, so I guess the price is fair. I also gave only four stars on material quality because the liner is marketed at being aluminum but the contents of the liner are, in fact, only about 0.1% aluminum or something like that. For practical purposes, just think of this as a polyester curtain.

Would have rated it 5 if it werent for one thing!
These curtains did exactly as advertised! They stopped the cold draft off the window, reduced the noise from the road, and made the room much darker when the lights are dimmed! They also look great when open, however, when closed they are very flat and dont show any folds so I order two extra panels . With all four panels they look great when open or when closed! It was definately worth the extra money to me. Having the extra thickness in the folds when the panels are closed not only looks great but also helps with the sound reduction, draft from the window, and sound from the outside.

Pricey but worth it
I bought these curtains to use as a temporary door until our glass door was installed in our bedroom. Unfortunately the door was custom designed and the opening an odd size so it’s been a huge pain. The designer is also super old and cranky, he does not like to be rushed and gave me a 4 month timeline 🫣. Also, the glass was hand etched in a design that matches the other glass in. The room. Our house is all wood floors and we don’t have carpets and solid color doors (the original owners decided to have all the doors glass and because of that closing a door does nothing to block noise at all. After a month of living in a home where I could hear my dogs clacking around downstairs (she is 14 lbs and it sounded like we had a 100lb Great Dane living here) it was soooooo bad I could even hear my husband when he got off the couch. At night my cats were going crazy ruining our furniture (I had no idea) I could hear them race around the basement floors and they usually are silent. So I had enough and decided to do something before I went crazy. I did some research and learned fabric absorbs soiunds more effectively than most people realize. So I started with heavy velvet curtains put in the doorway. Unfortunately, they did nothing. So I said to myself I am going to spend the money and buy 4 sets to layer for noise reduction. Did not work either, finally I found Moondream curtains. What I like 1. They insulate the room so well we were able to lower the air conditioning by several degrees which made our bills $100’s of dollars less and our room temperature was kept at a steady temp where before it fluctuated multiple times a day. 2. They are very sturdy (I have washed them over Sox times and (the labels explicitly say they are not to be washed) 3. They are very heavy, weighing so much that I had to purchase a curtain rod with screw because the tension rods could not hold them. The weight is a good sign there are four layers of fabric and the inner fabric is the insulation (I wanted the 4 layer type because I needed as much sound absorbing possibility I could find ) 4. The velvet is thick, and a quality material, it can get marks from pressure like if you grab them with a wet hand but they easily are smoothed out using a fabric steamer 5. They block odors, my husband loves sneak those gross 🤮 cigars when I am out of the house and it would take a few days of open windows just to air it out, the curtains block the majority of the odor and once I had them flush on the ceiling the bedroom smelled just as good as it did on the days he wasn’t smoking cigars 6. If installed properly they look rather nice, and they block all light so that’s also a plus.

Pretty curtains and block much outside sound
these are high quality, heavy curtains that are a pretty color and perform as expected in blocking noise.

Well made but doesn’t reduce sound much
I like that this curtain is thick and seems well made, but it’s definitely not soundproof. May cut down sound a little. A little disappointed because I was really looking for significant sound reduction.

Great product
The drapes are very heavy, quality made and block sound well. Make sure have strong, sturdy curtain rod to hold them. Light cream color is enjoyable. Note that order has one panel only, had to order second panel later but well worth the money.

No noise reduction
Very disappointed, this does not block or reduce the noise. I was very hopeful and that is why I bought the product. I have a very noisy neighbor that does not care what time it is for loud voices under by bedroom window. I read SO MANY reviews on this product, so I did my due diligence.Very expensive.
