I got all three releases from this 80's collection and they really compliment each other. The packaging is really fun, the dolls are good quality, and the design is quite elevated in a very nostalgic way. The only negatives I would point out is that some of the dolls have fashion pieces that are stitched together, I think at their price point every piece should have been a separate. if you can find them on discount, these are great value for both a gift and collectors.

I love her so much! I’m not a collector but I have gotten into the older Barbies a bit lately. I loved finding a true, pretty, quality doll that reminded me so much of Barbie’s from when I was young in the 90s! They don’t make them like this anymore so when I see a release like her, I had to get it! So cute!

Growing up in the 1990s, I have a fondness for the Superstar face mold and even the "clicky" rubber legs that don't really pose too well. This doll has both, but her torso is the modern "articulated" body, which means she can enjoy all the newer/latest clothes but the classic Twist N Turn clothes will fit her loose at the top.I also want to point out that her stand is not made for her modern body type. Modern Barbies tend to have wider waists than the old school (TNT) kind. I suspect that this may be the reason why the included stands have broken for other customers, since it's not made for her. Fortunately, I have old TNT Barbies who can use the stand, so it's not a problem for me, but just an FYI

The doll is very nice quality!First, the small details that could improve:1) The head seems too small for this doll, it seems slightly pin-headed.2) The shoes are soft rubber, and the heel-peg collapses under itself with the slightest pressure.3) The necklace is very loose, and tends to turn backwards due to its shape and weight on the neck.4) The jacket lapels are not creased very well, and the black satin fabric will try to unfold. (I tried a mild ironing, also putting water on the material and then pinning the crease using clips.. the material still tries to straighten out).You will get a certificate of authenticity with this purchase.It comes in an over-sized VCR movie style box, where the inside slides out like a VCR tape from the box.The doll stand has a transparent stem and waist grip, and can be adjusted for height up to 9 inches above the base. The base is hot pink and shaped like a cassette tape.The legs are semi-rubberized (not as rubbery as Disney Princess dolls).Knees have a 1-click movement forward or back, but the knee joint is hidden inside of the leg.The ankles are not jointed, and the foot is pointed / high heel.The feet are semi-rubber as well, so this doll can fit flat and lifted heel shoes.The shoulders and wrists have good range of motion with bend, rotation, and twist.The face is painted similar to the product image.All of the clothes can be changed.The shirt, skirt, tights, and jacket are all separate / individual pieces.The skirt slides on, and has a partial-length vecro tag on the back side to cinch it about the waist, while allowing it to fit over the hips for removal while un-fastened.The shirt is sleeveless and attaches to itself with a velcro strip on the back side.The shoes are made for high-heel / pointed-toe barbie dolls, so they don't fit flat footed dolls very well.The hat is permanently attached to the head with plastic tabs. The Ribbon is attached to the hat.Overall a very cool fashion theme and the doll itself is nice quality. Worth the buy if you are a collector!
