My 9 month old Kitten loves this brand of moist food. I love that it's not full of additives and preservatives like other commercial moist foods.The boxes only have 2 flavors. I wish it came in more variety. The can size is perfect portions. It gets eaten up quickly.

My almost 16 yr old cat started losing weight about 5 yrs ago. She was diagnosed as hyperthyroid, and has been well controlled with transdermal methimazole for almost that long. She has actually lost 50% of her original (12 lb) weight. I switched her to primarily premium wet food (with premium dry food available at all times) about 3 yrs ago, but she still lost weight, though more slowly. The past two years have seen repeated "death bed" scenarios, with vet visits for sub q fluids and dexamethazone injections which spur her appetite for awhile. A few months back, an acquaintance who is a vet tech at the Indianapolis zoo suggested I try a premium kitten food for the higher fat content. I researched the kitten foods available, and settled on Wellness, which is 7% fat (vs 2% fat of her former premium wet food), no grains, just good flesh and veggies. I have found Wellness kitten food to be a "Godsend". She eats one to two 3oz cans a day of it, and while she hasn't gained weight, she has been stable at 6 lbs for about 4 months now. She has never liked the "pate" like texture of wet foods, she prefers shredded, so I do spend a bit of time slicing and icing this product for her. I would give it 5 stars if she'd actually gained weight on it.

After trying a few different types of canned wet food, Wellness chicken wet kitten food is what I decided to settle on for my current foster kitten.
