NEIKO Safety Vest, High Visibility Vest with Reflective Strips

Great vest for the money. Stitching seems fine and I'm sure it'll be great for increased visibility while biking.

Fits a bit small for the listed size, if you are close to a size, go up one!

I bought this vest to walk my dog, on the street at night, during the winter.It’s very lightweight and the visibility stripes are also made out of a lightweight fabric rather than a stiff plastic type material. It’s highly visible even when it’s just hanging up, in the house, when the room is darkened and a light hits it.The stitches holding it altogether are not very sturdy and if I was going to use it while doing any type of hard physical labor I would probably reinforce the seams but as I said I only use it for walking the dog and I find it perfect for that. The zipper is sturdy and have had no problems with it.I purchased the XL so that it would fit over my heavy winter coat and any layers I may have under it. It was a good size for that but I will probably buy a smaller version for the summer. I am 5’ 2” tall and approx 115 lbs so would probable go with the Medium for summer. The armholes are large enough to allow various body shapes without feeling tight or binding.I recommend this vest.

I wanted a safety vest for riding my bicycle, and this is such a thing.Observations:- it is *very* visible in all lighting conditions; the yellow fabric is easy to spot in day, the white strips are highly reflective of lights at night. On a bike this is much preferable to reflectors since they're lower to the ground; your torso is at a much more visible height for motorists to see.- it's true to size *if* you are wearing light summer clothes; just buy your t-shirt size and it will fit over cycling clothing just fine. I assume people complaining about sizing are wearing this on top of bulky garments. If you're wearing a coat or something, get one size up specifically for that purpose, but be aware that it will be too *big* for use over summer clothes.- in the summer, it can get a bit warm. I'm considering perhaps finding a smaller "harness" style vest for this reason- the material feels cheap, with some loose strings already. But at this price I can't really complain too much, it's still perfectly functional.- it's pretty compact, much smaller than a typical t-shirt if rolled to minimum size for packing.

Well made and bright. For the cost, these are great to keep in car in case of breakdown or emergency

I have purchased the Neiko High Visibility Neon Green Safety Vest with Reflective Strips for less than $10. I used on a recent trip to the Bear Mountain in New York State. At the end of our trip, after sunset, I had to lead my family on the side of a dark mountain road to the train station. We had to walk about an hour. I had to push the stroller on the front therefore I put the vest on the stroller and used a SureFire flashlight to see the road. The drivers definitely saw us in the dark because everyone slowed down and kept a nice distance from us! (Thanks for the drivers!) We felt really safe by using this useful vest. I highly recommend to all bicyclist, motorcyclist, dog walkers, emergency workers...etc. It can save your life. The vest is thin, pretty lightweight, fluorescent yellow, with wide reflective strips...just like on the picture. There are no pockets on it, but I did not miss them. The material is 100% polyester. The zipper is not YKK, but who cares! It is functioning without any trouble.

In the winter I exit my New Jersey commuter bus in the dark at a dangerous intersection -- IN A CROSSWALK. I keep this in my backpack and put it on just before leaving the bus. It's highly reflective, and when i use it in combination with my very bright flashing LED light, I wave cars and trucks to a stop as I cross.
