Great snack or dessert, honestly. Enough sweetness to combat those sweet tooth cravings without feeling totally guilty about it. Very filling too, I sometimes just have half a bar. And no weird texture, before or after! Delivery was weird since I ordered a box of protein bars and got a box of their energy gummies. However, after speaking to an amazon representative it was all sorted out. So, just be weary that you may not receive exactly what you order but reach out to Amazon if anything. They are delicious and worth it in my opinion.

Entirely too much sugar! Read the nutrition information. These bars have an acceptable number of calories, carbs and protein. But their sugar level is sky high. One bar is 24% of the daily recommended consumption of sugar! That is terribly unhealthy. Based upon my daily activity level I typically consume 2, or 3 bars a day. Three bars is almost 75% of your sugar allowance. Not much room left for anything sweet, or naturally occurring sugars in other foods for the rest of the day, plus there is the cumulative effect of consuming that much sugar on a regular basis. My previous protein bar of choice was Ultra Bar, but they are not currently available. Their sugar level percentage for daily consumption was ZERO %. I have switched to "Think!" protein bars, which have less calories, less salt and 0% sugar compared to Pro Bar. For me, protein bars are a convenient meal substitute and for the most part healthy. Other than Ultra Bar, it has been an ongoing challenge finding an equivalent substitute that is healthy, affordable and does not taste awful. I gave away my remaining Pro Bars, and warned the person not to have more than one a day, unless they plan to consume almost no sugar for the rest of the day. Once again, read the label. I was looking for a dairy free and peanut free protein bar. These checked those boxes!TasteWell above average as far as protein bar taste. Sweetness is good and can taste all the ingredients. Probably could do with a little less sugar. It tastes like a candy bar.TextureBar is clean to eat and hard enough where the pieces don't fall on your lap. It might be too hard which is a drawback. It can cause teeth pain biting into this bar. That is the reason I stopped buying this, because I'm afraid of damaging a tooth.Protein contentFor a plant basted protein bar, this is high at 20 grams. You could get more by adding ingredients but that would make the flavor suffer. No stomach or digestion problems from these at all.

The cookie dough one is meh, the mint chocolate pretty good, the chocolate brownie one is delicious, great texture. Real sugar, and not too too much of it. Decent amount of fiber too, which helps with the sugar metabolization. Standard 20g of protein, but dairy free, not chewy, not heavy. It’s perfect.

I absolutely love Probars, especially when they have a good Amazon price point. The cookie dough tends to be my favorite flavor, but as other reviewers have noted, I would not order these from June-Sept. because if they have sat in a hot warehouse, a delivery truck in the sun, or been left in a mailbox/on your porch for an hour or two, or any combination of the above, what you will get is a re-solidified brick instead of the soft and delicious probar I have grown to love. My last few orders have been hard and show signs of melt, even when I made sure to get my Amazon package right when it was delivered. It’s too bad because I like these for breakfast, but this is now a winter meal bar.

IF you are looking for a bar without all the unnecessary colors, preservatives and soy then this is the bar for you. I love all the flavors that I have tried thus far. The added bonus is knowing the bars are healthier for me than anything I could get at the local grocery store.
