I needed a new tree topper to go with the newer led lights they're selling now. After trying several, I love this one because it matched my tree lights. The downside is that because it rotates, you need to make sure it's perfectly positionedIt's plastic, and I thought it would look cheap, but honestly when I topped my tree I fell in love. I am very glad i bought it!!

After all of our ornaments are put on our tree, the rotating Christmas tree star was given its place of honor.The Christmas tree star arrived one day late, but thankfully delivered the next day.Even with its motor, the whole assembly is lighter weight than our former twinkling, stationary star.Holds to the tree easily. And very easy to install on our Christmas tree.

First, someone else stated either in an answered question or a review that it has 7 colors. This does NOT, and the colors are PALE, better suited for an Easter tree rather than a Christmas tree. It stood out against my bright colors. If you want to hack it and see if you can change it, be my guest. Secondly, it seemed to get louder after a couple weeks, and seemed to be jittering on the rotation. The star's connection to the rotating part of the base is weak, it's floppy and makes it impossible to be straight. I used hot glue to support it straight. As others said, expect loose glitter. Then again, you should for everything containing glitter, especially Christmas decorations. No-brainer there. Otherwise this seems to be the same quality as EVERY star out there....cheap. But....worked well enough for me.

Beautiful silver star has a filigree pattern adorned with bits of glitter. Inside were pink, green blue and white mini lights which cast a beautiful pattern on the ceiling above as it turned on top of our tree. Everyone who saw it remarked on how beautiful this star was...

I used it for Christmas but could be used any time of the year. Loved the colors.

It came broken, the star was detached from the motor, probably because the shipping box used WAS TO SMALL to accomodate the whole assembly. Triyng to refit the star was almost impossible because of the two very thin wires which connect it to the motor, one of these eventually breaking, so I had to dissamble the star and use two pieces of clear wires to elongate the existing ones. Finally, I reglued the star to the motor and somehow it works, but I don`t know for how long.But, if you get it in one piece and working, it looks nice and the rotating movement is very smooth (as far as I tested it for a short time).
