Sony DVD player setup was simple, straightforward and easy. Took me about 15 minutes to start playing Avatar using a wireless set-up. Remote for DVD player is not needed except to pause, stop or playback movie. Everything else (like sound level, switching to playing TV or turning on/off) is controlled by your TV remote. Wasted a lot of time trying to use the old Blue Ray DVD player which I discarded. The old DVD Blue Ray player is no longer supported and is obsolete. Glad Sony still provides a DVD player that can play back DVDs using the original Blue Ray format.

So far it works well for what I got it for, watching dvd's and bluray. I don't use it for streaming, use my roku instead.

I've had this for three days. I like to listen to music and Pandora is great! The sound is the best I've ever heard. Youtube works well, however I get a no connection message when I try some of the other apps.the picture on my bluerays and standard dvds is very good - as advertised.It is about 1/3 the size of my previous blue ray player, and a lot faster.Many disks that I have require me to fast foreword on my old blueray player but this one automatically pick up where I left off if I had to stop in the middle of aa movie.As far as the remote goes, the tv volume doesn't work. I have to use another remote to adjust the volume.Overall, the pluses far outweigh the negatives so right now I give it five stars.

OK so the reason I purchased this is because on a whim I decided to buy 600 DVDs. I am very thrilled that this is the easiest DVD player I have ever used in my life. The picture is clear the instructions are super clear. It’s so easy to use of this DVD that it is well worth the money. Do you just need an HDMI plug to plug it in on the back of your TV set and all is done.

Got it all hooked up and even after chatting with Sony support found out it does not support Amazon Prime. So back it goes!
