You could probably get away with stepping against a wall or standing on a couple of boards but this makes it easy. First, it's well made. Finished well and capped with slip free rubber tread. Adjustable for different angles has been great since some days I want a deeper stretch and other days, not so much. I keep this in my basement "gym" and step on to it randomly when walking by and inject it into many of my routines.

I've been suffering from a terrible case of Plantar Fasciitis and was looking for something for home. My Physical Therapist has a stretch device similar to this in her clinic. I was looking for one that didn't cost too much and this thing is perfect. Not as well built as a pro model but for home use it's great. Works much better than that blue plastic thing (which I also bought) to stretch calves and Achilles. Highly recommend it.

I am using this for stretching after an Achilles tendon repair. The design is simple and functional. It is very sturdy and could likely support the full 350 lb weight limit as described.
